horror + comedy = fun times
If you're a fan of movies like Scream or American Werewolf in London-- this will be right up your alley. With some fun performances from then "up and coming" actors!

Nice to NOT want the characters to die
I really liked this film. Characters you actually hate to see be killed off, really funny dialogue, and a self-awareness that manages to not come across as snide. No one is re-inventing the wheel here, but this is genuinely enjoyable b-movie fun, and not B because of acting or script. B because of budget. My only complaint is who they list as the lead actress, but no spoilers here!

Good slasher kills
I enjoyed the slasher scenes. The movie was fun but predictable. Nothing spectacular and pretty mediocre but fun.

Surprisingly good thriller with cast of new faces
I saw this movie and did not recognize many of the cast members, but I thought I would try it since it was a thriller. I was happily surprised to find how good it was. While some parts of the movie reveal that it was not made on as high dollar of a budget, the cast works well together, makes the movie interesting and brings the right touch of scare. The story line is one that is similar to many of the other thriller movies, but it has an interesting edge to it through the reality TV angle. As the movie ramps up into the scary parts with the killer, the movie still maintains its story line and develops its characters amongst the insanity which is quite impressive since many of the mainstream thrillers are incapable of doing this on there high dollar budgets. The other thing I liked about this movie is that from scene one, you know that you're watching a thriller and you get a piece of the action which doesn't stop until the resolution of the film. Overall, I really enjoyed this movie and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys thriller movies or just wants a good scare.

Not funny or scary.
I don't know what movie these 5* reviews are watching. Honestly. I'm puzzled. It's neither funny nor scary. More like convoluted and sloppy. I recognized sooo many of the actors. I know they're proficient. It's hard to identify how this was so lackluster. It slips just under tediously mediocre. I wasn't scared once. Not even for the fifteen minutes at the end while they played 80s slasher music as if that might help. It has a real 80s sleep-away camp, slasher vibe where it's cheesy and has a budget of 12 dollars. (BTW, I wrote this review twice. Once at 35 minutes, but all the 5* reviews made me think maybe, just maybe I should stick it out. And now, after wasting another 40 minutes.) It's just not good. It tries to do too much, none of it successfully, and, frankly, it embarrasses itself. I think it literally ran out of money.

Great Director’ Cut.
thought the acting was good and I especially liked Kaley Cuoco! The cast is gorgeous and the director, Jeff Fisher, did a wonderful job keeping the slasher/gory stuff totally watchable. I didn’t have to run out of the room! The film kept me entertained and interested!

Um...?
How do you not know that 'Sean' is pronounced 'Shawn' and not 'Seen'?How can you get into your late twenties and still not know this...?Stuff like this really throws me out of the immersion and makes it painfully obvious that the actor is trying to 'act'.Also, when the scene calls for extremes of emotion, like shouting anger or somesuch (like Coach Carhart the first time we meet him), the actors do not commit fully, almost like they are afraid of going for it.The sign of a very mediocre actor who has no trust in their own ability, and no skill to see what they are doing wrong. Also a director who doesn't know how to direct actors properly. Stuff like this is a complete rookie mistake on both sides.

It's so bloody fun!
So excited to see this on Prime! I really liked the original back when it came out, but this new "Director's Cut" version is faster paced and even funnier. If you enjoy some laughs with your murder, you'll love this movie. :)

KILLER MOVIE DVD 2008
I decided to get this mainly due to Paul Wesley being in it as I really like him as an actor he didn't disappoint and the rest of the cast did a great job too! It's hard to really sum up this film but I will give it a try!So it's a small town hockey team that's what it's supposed to be what the crew are there for but the woman in charge wants a more exciting story after a young girl dies under strange circumstances! Also a famous actress is flown in to help her career & prove she can really act?more deaths happen & they're not accidents so who's killing these people? It's not a deep heavy thriller but is entertaining all the same,I enjoyed it!It also has extra's cast interviews etc.Take note it's a region 1 so needs a multi region player or you can watch on a pc it also has a digital copy so enjoy!!!!

Not bad but could have been better
That said, the movie does have a fair bit going for it. Not least is that every time you think you know who the killer is, the real one promptly kills them. I was absolutely certain I knew who it was only for the guy to have his throat cut less than a minute after I'd definitely made my mind up it was him. There is an attractive cast of good actors like the likeable Kaley Cuoco (The Big Bang Theory) playing an obnoxious actress, who I'm sure wasn't remotely based on L*nds*y L*h*n, who isn't as horrible as she first appears. Nestor Carbonell is great as a cynical agent and Paul Wesley of the Vampire Diaries is good as the lead. The rest of the supporting cast is fun as well particularly the actress who plays the utterly vile and predatory lesbian producer.Much of the gore tends to be offscreen like the Cheerleader coach's encounter with a rotary saw (just when I decided she was the killer) or the beheading early on (when I'd decided that this character would probably be the Final Girl). Then there are more explicit bits like the throat slitting (see above) and hand amputation, so it isn't all bad. Plus there is a very high body count so that even at almost the very end you still just don't know who the damn killer is.But I didn't find it very suspenseful and never remotely adrenalin-inducing. In fact it's oddly likeable for a serial killer movie and it is certainly surprising. Give it a try and it may surprise you.Let's say the rating is three and a half stars.

A horror Satire
Small time USA is invaded by a reality TV show's film crew. A celebrity shows up then very soon people begin disappearing and dying. This is a send up of reality shows and slasher movies but it is very well done and the real gem is in the giallo aspect used in that we don't know who the killer is until the end and then the film ends with a twist. It's a fun film with a high body count. Dialogue is reasonably good with a few nods to other slasher films and the acting isn't bad with a few smiles to be had. I didn't like the fact that some of the kills are off screen with gore seen afterwards. I suppose the film makers wanted this to appeal to a wider PC audience hence the toned down slashiness.Extras include a 13 min behind the scenes, and stills. USA Release plays Region 1. Subtitles in English stated on the box but there weren't any.
