Tight across chest
Fit is pretty loose in body, tight in chest. I have a big beer gut and that's fine with this jacket, but across the ribs it is snug. Sleeve length generous and I like that, hem is pretty short, almost baseball jacket short. The photo makes it look longer than it fits on me, and I have short torso. If you plan to wear a sweater ever, buy a size up.

Great Jacket, Incorrectly Sized
I'm a guy of average height and weight. About 5' 10" and weigh 185 lbs. I usually fit easily into any XL size jacket. But this jacket, Sierra Designs Hurricane Jacket, is extremely slim fitting. So slim fitting that I had to return it for a XXL. Although I do workout a lot and lift weights, the shoulders were way-too confining and if I had kept it I would have eventually ripped the jacket from use as it was much too snug. But apart from the inaccurate sizing, the jacket itself is very well made. All the seams are taped for water proofness, there are underarm vents which zip open and closed to help regulate temperature, the hood and collar are generous and articulated, it has plenty of pockets to hold extra items, comes with its own stuff sack, has an asymentrical hem line (more like a shirt tail), and looks great. My recommendation for guys? Order 1 size larger and you should be fine. But I do like the jacket very much and the price can't be beat.

I thought it would pack into a smaller sleeve like the one that I lost
I thought it would pack into a smaller sleeve like the one that I lost. The reason I liked the one I lost so much was because it would clip onto my belt and was small enough not to get in the way when I walked or sat down. This one is too bulky when packed in the sleeve.

Perfect price.
As advertised. Probably not the best rain jacket out there; but is the best bang for the buck without a question!

Great rain jacket

Runs a little big.
I'd suggest buying a size under what you were expecting. It is quite large on me but it does work well. Especially during the rainy season.

The jacket looks great and feels ok
It's a rain jacket and dispel rain it does. The jacket is bomber in terms of keeping you dry. I've used it in rain and heavy snow and never once got any rain or snow to come through. The jacket looks great and feels ok, it's not one of those rain jackets that feels like you're wearing a garbage bag or a vinyl shower curtain. The pockets zip closed & do not allow water to enter, the jacket will even stuff into it's own interior pocket if you forget the included stuff sack. It's not the most optimal stuff, but it actually packs smaller than it would if you used the stuff sack. I utilize this while backpacking because it actually stuffs into a more pack friendly shape. Instead of a big cylindrical tube you get a smooshed burger shape instead which works better in my packs and saves me a couple grams (not that i'd notice...)The only reason I rate the jacket with 4 stars instead of 5 is due to a couple issues.1 - I hate that the jacket claims to be breathable, in my experience i've yet to see this as breathable. For reference, I used this with a Marmot fleece to shovel snow in a huge blizzard. By the time I was done my fleece was covered in ice! The fleece was a high pile jacket & the pile was covered in ice because of the lack of insulation from the Hurricane. The moisture was completely from sweat & not from the melted snow on the Hurricane. But it goes to show that the moisture had nowhere to go...2 - The hood adjustment busted on me after the 2nd time I wore the jacket. Came completely off and left me with a hood that will pull tight on one side, but not the other.Overall, great rain jacket if you can live w/out a jacket that is extremely breathable. And one point to Sierra Designs is that they offered to fix the hood adjustment for free, however, I didn't want to spend the 10-15 dollars to ship it to them to fix...so I just decided to live w/ a half busted hood.
