A MUST for Bosch (and similar) dishwashers
A MUST for certain type of dishwashers. We spent a small fortune on a total kitchen renovation 3 years ago and chose an incredibly expensive, Bosch dishwasher because it could be retrofitted with a wood front (because that's the primary function of a dishwasher?) Anyway, I loved everything about our new kitchen except the dishwasher which I absolutely hated, primarily because the dishes were still wet after the cycle. When they finally air dried, hours later, the dishes and glasses had spots all over them. No one (Bosch, the designer, the store where we bought all the appliances, etc) could give me any explanation that made any sense as to why a dishwasher that cost 6x what our old one did, couldn't dry the dishes. I FINALLY got an explanation (and solution) as to how to get dry dishes from an appliance repairman was fixing a jammed garbage disposal. He said that my dishwasher doesn't use a heating coil to dry dishes. Instead, my Bosch (and I assume others) relies on the temperature of the water which he increased to 128 degrees-it had been at 115. He also suggested that I turn on the sink for a minute or two to get the water up to that high (128 degree) temperature just before I start the dishwasher since it's is similar to HE clothes washers-it uses far less water to clean the dishes so hot water is imperative along with this product which I HAD tried but not regularly. And when I did use it, I'd fill the entire compartment, meant for drying rinse, to the max. He adjusted it so it couldn't be filled completely-it apparently can dry out unless you run your dishwasher daily which we don't. I bought the 4-pack of Finish Jet-Dry from Amazon. The price is far less than the single bottles sold at my grocery store. And now my dishwasher not only drys the dishes, they are spotless. (Oh, and he also cleaned out the filter which was disgustingly dirty, and he showed me how to do it myself. And also told me to use loose dry detergent rather than the plastic wrapped "pieces".) I'm sure that there are other uses for this product if you don't have a dishwasher like mine, but it's a necessity for the Bosch, non-coil heating dishwashers.

Great product - will buy again.
Just what I needed. Bottles are small enough to put over small opening to pour liquid into my dishwasher area for rinse aid. Great product; will definitely buy again.

Excellent for dishwashers without a heated dry cycle
I recently purchased a new Samsung dishwasher and it does not have a heated dry cycle so my dishes were still a bit wet after the cycle finished. I read the reviews for the dishwasher and several people suggested using a rinse aid and turning on the sanitize cycle to rinse the dishes in hot water to aid the evaporation. I tried the Jet-Dry rinse aid and now my dished come out dry and sparkling every time. The four pack was the best deal I could find and each bottle lasts about 2 months or 60 cycles.

Excellent rinse agent - is there any other?
When we remodeled our kitchen and installed a Miele dishwasher, I ran the first load without Jet Dry. The dishes came out wet and didn't look very good, and I stood there missing my old Kenmmore. I called the sales person and he said that dishwashers that don't "bake" the dishes dry with a heating element require Jet Dry so the water sheets off and the regular low-temperature drying cycle gets them dry. I was skeptical but tried Jet Dry and the dishes came out dry (hey, maybe that's why it's called Jet Dry!) and squeaky clean with NO spots.I'm not sure if there's even another brand of this stuff... it's sort of like the "Kleenex" of rinse agents. You just put some in the door dispenser (right by the detergent dispenser) every month or two and you're good to go. If you don't have a dishwasher with a dispenser, they also sell Jet Dry in solid form that you hang from a rack in the dishwasher -- usually that lasts a couple of months. An excellent product, highly recommended.

Easy to use.
The smaller bottles are easier for me to use. The price is right.

Protective film makes dishes look and feel smoother
This works pretty well by creating a thin film on all the dishes. The dishes indeed feel smoother and look cleaner. It also helps to clean residues in the dishwasher itself, e.g. the inside of the door looks a bit cleaner and smoother. This protective film is probably not desired for your beer glasses, creating flat beers, so I'm careful never to put those in the dishwasher. I was also hoping that this Jet Dry might remove some of the old etching or scales in the bottom of my old wine glasses. Unfortunately it doesn't, but it seems to prevent new etching from forming. So I guess I should have started using this product earlier... I like the design of the bottle cap and the small spout. Pouring it in the dishwasher door is easy and clean. I purchased 4 times 8.45 oz bottles and the first bottle is almost finished after 6 weeks of almost daily use. So the 4 bottles should last about 6 months.

Keeps dishes dry
I really love this stuff it makes your dishes dry in the machine. Not sure how it does it but without this stuff in the dishwasher the dishes never quite dry all the way.

I realize now what Ive been missing
I never put any stock into this stuff until I used it. I like like THE MAN IS TRYING TO KEEP ME DOWN AND MAKE ME BELIEVE I NEED EXCESS PRODUCTS FOR MY DISHES etc.Wow, it works. Imagine your life before fabric softener and dryer sheets. That's where you're at without this stuff.

Four Stars
Keep it up

Works well
Does a good job of eliminating streaking and water staining. This quantity is really more than we need, as we only use the dishwasher once a week.... but the price is reasonable.
