Outdoor 5MP PTZ IP POE Dome Ceiling Security Camera Pan Tilt 4xOptical Zoom 100ft IR Night Vision Motion Detection Remote View RTSP AT-800DZ

The media could not be loaded.  These are the most economical PTZ dome cams I've found in months of searching. I purchased two cams. I had to send both back due to IR, auto focus, and other firmware issues. I am reviewing the replacements I received.Positives: The cameras look great during the day, are sturdily built (not cheap plastic) and were a breeze to hang and to add to my Blue Iris NVR system. The Pivot is fast and works smoothly. The 4x zoom looks good. The seller's website provides a list of built-in presets.Negatives: There is an issue where the cameras do not lock in the focus after a preset or manual pivot. They continue to focus and refocus requiring manual intervention (see video.) This is a serious issue as the cameras are unmanned most of the time. Turning off the auto focus does not solve the problem. When in the camera, the image intermittently flashes to gray (see pic.) This doesn't happen in the NVR software. The separate mounting bracket is such that the cameras cannot be firmly tightened to the mounting surface as they designed to mount with a twist requiring sufficient space with the mounting screws, which leaves the cameras feeling loosely attached.I would easily give these cameras a 4-star rating. However, the autofocus is close to a deal breaker for me. I'm hopeful that the seller responds with a fix soon. Otherwise, these will be returned. I will update this review with any relevant new information I receive, and if the AF problem is fixed I will update the rating as well.

This camera is no better than some of the other ones just like it, at night its lens has a bad reflection, when you look through the camera at night you see the cameras lens in a reflection in the glass dome on the camera, if you take the dome off the camera is great, but them the elements outside would damage the camera. I have a few cameras like this and they all seem to have this issue, it's because the IR lights are inside the glass dome and should be on the outside and I think this issue would go away.

The quality of the camera is great but there is no way to prevent tampering no set screw

The camera has a good daytime picture, but nighttime is not good. Very grainy, not clear at all.

IR lighting reflects off the the polycarbonate dome and the picture appears cloudy at night. Totally worthless. Can't turn off the IR lighting even if set at 0% Day vision is a 7 out of 10. Save your money and avoid this gem. Yes it really looks like the image at night and the lens is clean.

I have several. Seamless integration with Blue Iris. Bought a different brand once and it was a nightmare getting it to work. Alptop all the way.
