In modern times, many Reiki books only skim the surface. Author Frans Stiene (The Way of Reiki) flips this notion on its head and shares his deep knowledge and inner understanding of the original ways of Reiki. They say an author should always write about what they know. This book is a stunning example of an author who has walked the walk and followed the path to uncover the true meaning of Reiki at the deepest levels. His explanations on conceptual topics are clear, detailed, and honest exposing a vast depth of knowledge gained through personal experience. His explanations on how one is to "practice" are the very best I've ever read. Additionally, he shares quotes throughout the book from many great masters and references their work to readers embracing Reiki at a deeper level, thus providing them with a path to follow. I highly recommend this wonderful work to anyone seeking to understand Reiki at its fundamental core. Frans Stiene's work is guaranteed to provide life-altering direction as you follow along the path in search of the true self.

This Book is absolutely essential to anyone who is practicing Reiki and especially wanting to feel the full benefits of the practice. And of course if you will be working on others, this is a great book to have on hand and to read. There is more of an emphasis in this book on what you need to be doing for yourself To be balanced in your life and in presence, so you may be the best channel that you can be for Reiki.Better explains why the principles are what they are. Gives you way to find stillness and teaches you methods of meditation. Now a part of my library!

Once again, Frans Stiene takes us down the beautiful path of traditional Japanese Reiki practice. This book truly is the way of Reiki. In each clearly written chapter, Frans explains not only how to practice, but more importantly, why we practice, which is to rediscover our True Self – the innate great bright light that we are born with. The place where we can free ourselves from ego, and gently fold into the way of compassion for ourselves and others. Frans guides us gently, but firmly into the practices that the founder of Reiki, Mikao Usui, so clearly set out in his teachings. What is so significant in this book, is the emphasis to sit down and do the practices contained therein. This truly is the way back to our True Self. A wonderfully written book from an amazing author.

With this book Frans adds a layer of historic context to our understanding of Reiki. As practitioners, receivers of Reiki, or if you are just curious, he walks you through the practice as an architect would explaining a home we are about to inhabit. This is done in a very concise but not dry way. That is because his love for Reiki and his embodiment of his own practice shines through. I took my time reading a section and sitting with it. I humbly suggest that you might want to approach it this way too, so to fully absorb the words, allowing not only your mind to take it in, but your heart also, because there’s lots of joy to feel too. That is due to feeling the love that Frans has for his practice. It’s palpable and it’s what makes this book accessible to a newcomer to Reiki, as well as giving an already “seasoned“ practitioner an opportunity to deepen their relationship with Reiki, which is, in essence, our true selves. This book will not be going on my book shelf but kept close at hand, like any good friend should be.

This book is an essential for helping the journey to understanding Reiki from its origins with Usui. Frans brings an abundance of knowledge, research, practice and clarity to the public. It is an excellent guide and clear representation of the possibilties for unconditional love and the journey of Reiki to find the true self. It is a book I will read many times to enrich my understanding and practise.

Frans somehow finds the words to describe Reiki. How do you describe the indescribable? Well, Frans shows us how by sharing the esoteric and historical teachings of past Reiki and spiritual mentors. Frans focuses in depth on the true teachings of Mikao Usui's Five Elements of Reiki which all point to Our True Selves. The Way of Reiki explores the old teachings and meaning behind the precepts, symbols and mantras. Frans gives meaning and purpose to the profound concepts, transformative experiences and spiritual revelations that are deep within a Reiki lifestyle. This is an excellent book for both students and Shinpiden Reiki Master Teachers who are looking to enhance their Great Bright Light.

This spiritual practice from Japan is so much more than hands on healing, as many in the west may think of it; Stiene's book explains and illustrates that beautifully. Practicing the system of Reiki is about balancing our body, mind, and spirit, about remembering our true nature.In that remembering and balancing, gained over time through the practices outlined in the book, we find our way toward inner peace, increased kindness and compassion to ourselves, others in our circles and beyond. Because as Mikao Usui’s teachings show and as Stiene writes and speaks about in clear, concise and often humorous ways, we all are living in a human world of duality, while our true nature is non-duality, oneness.I'd recommend this book to anyone, of any faith, spiritual tradition, or no particular one. It's an exquisite guide to learning about, embarking on, or deepening one's understanding of the path and the Way of Reiki, the way back to ourselves and each other.

All of Frans' books are written with clarity, revealing the principles of Reiki as realistic tools for self-development. His teachings and practice have been a true inspiration to me over many years! "The Way of Reiki" communicates practical and insightful guidance for the practice of Reiki. I recommend this book and Frans' other books to anyone who is on a path of self-responsibility in their spiritual development. Well done Frans!

After decades of researching, investigating and most of all practicing Reiki, Frans shares his direct experience and understanding of the system of Reiki. As a reader, I began to understand what Mikao Usui may have had in mind when he created his Usui Reiki Ryoho and its close relationships with traditional japanes practices.This book perfectly reflects how Frans teaches : precise and kind, powerful and soft, impactful and gentle, deep, simple and accessible.If there should be only one book to read about Reiki, I'd definitely pick out this one. And then sit on my butt and practice ;-)

I am currently devouring it, halfway through. As with all his books, this is a masterpiece filled with insights rooted on spiritual tradition and Frans’ own spiritual practice. Love all the quotes from different masters showing different perspectives that lead to the same conclusions. Frans understanding of Reiki as a Spiritual System (or Way) to lay bare our true nature (Emptiness or Oneness with all that is) is truly inspiring and in line with the teachings of other spiritual traditions (choose your preferred one, they’re all different roads that lead to the same place, back home, back to our true essence). My understanding of Reiki drastically changed since I came accross Frans’ works and then had the opportunity of studying with Reiki Masters from his lineage. I found what was missing in the western reiki community and fell in love with with Reiki again, understanding Reiki as a whole spiritual system and not merely a hands-on-healing technique made sense, it all came into place. This holistic understanding of the system of Reiki is missing (in my opinion) in most of the western Reiki approaches. A must read if you want to dive deeper into the Way of Reiki. Love! ✨🙌✨

I received this amazing book, 'The Way of Reiki' today - I believe it to be Frans' best yet. I am 'spot reading' the chapters that are most relevant to the Shinpiden course I am about to teach, and while it does highlight how far I have to go, it shows me in a beautifully supportive way how far I've come. I realise that I am right where I need to be in this moment, and there is so much yet to experience through this incredible journey.Frans has been my teacher albeit indirectly, through online courses, books, and videos. His humour and sense of fun combined with his intrinsic understanding of Mikao Usui's legacy has helped me navigate my own journey.I highly recommend this book (and all his books!).
