These went out of style when I was a boy, so it seems crazy to start buying them. But it works! Very comfortable. I'm a heavy guy, and belts are painful for us. But I'm going to use these now, at least at home. I'm 6' 2" and 300 lbs, and I bought the extended size. I have about 4" more of adjustment room after fitting them. These ones are not heavy duty, but the clasps are firm. The clamp and adjustment clasps are easy to use. At first, it felt like my jeans were always about to fall down, but they never do! Sitting doesn't seem to stress them. Oh, and using the john is slightly easier, since you don't have to hunt down your zipper under your belt. And if you're one who prefers to unfasten the belt in the john, the pants still will not fall down. Everyone wants to know that, right? Oh, some of my t-shirts are really long. Those now get bunched up around my waist, because the suspenders won't let them go down any further. So, I won't get over-long t-shirts anymore. Just fyi. Anyway, recommended!

The hight adjusting clip was too high for me and irritated my hands when wearing them, it would be necessary to wear a coat over them to avoid this. They were very sturdy and would probably work fine if the landed in a different place.

These are hands down the best suspenders. They do wear with time however, they don't snap off, are easy to clip on, and do the job well. Easy for an elderly person to use!

Bought the Dickies Men's 1 1/2 inch Solid Straight Clip Adjustable X Back Suspender for my father and he loves them. This purchase elevated me to the favorite son category, Lol. He finds them comfortable and durable. I do not wear suspenders myself, but I recommend this purchase for anyone who prefers suspenders.

5 stars. These are easy to wear & adjust. Comfort is a top priority for me & they fit the bill perfectly.

Suspenders are good but the metal clips are delicate. With that said, I think I found a way to make them perfect if you dont mind doing some minor detail work. I noticed the portion of the clasp that you push down, on the back side that presses against the jaw of the clasp is very rough. Its coated in chrome and it appears as though maybe thats where they were attached to the mould in production. If you file or sand that little rough spot off they dont snag and bend like mine did. I did manage to bend mine back and after smoothing them down with a diamond stone (file or sandpaper would work too) and have had no problems since. Ill attach a photo pointing out what I am refering to for clarification. If your putting them on and they give any kind of resistance to closing STOP and see whats wrong. You will ruin them if they bend too far due to metal fatigue.
