Good Quality
This item works well for it's intended purpose and is very well built and solid with smooth running lead screw and minimum backlash. I used it to make rotary parts with no issue. I only wish it had 4 t-slots instead of 3 but it works well with my fixture plate which removes that issue

Zero ref apparently not aligned to anything that can tell
As a newbie to home machining-I purchased the 8in table which also only comes with 3 T-slots.Table is solid and appears well built with smooth operation and a good match for my mill. Have not yet dialed it in on the mill however-Curious why the zero reference location is apparently not aligned to anything other than the t-slots."Zero" is 5 to 7 deg off from the vertical mounting surface, and the zero ref point does not adjust that far.Complicates attachment of a zero ref bar to the plate- especially with only 3 slots... totally doable just seems harder than it needs to be.

Very good build quality - But!
I am very happy with this purchase, except for a very important design flaw. The Vernier ring diameter is larger than the main dial diameter resulting in a parallax issue for reading the Vernier. The two rings should have their outer diameters flush with each other so the divisions can be read accurately. If you are not observing from the exact correct position, you will get an error in your reading. The two photos show the same dial setting from two different angles. I did not move the dial between photos - only the camera position. Please note the differences in the readings. There is a significant error there and you have to be very careful to view the reading directly from the same position at all times.

Seems good for the money
Haven't used it yet, but I did set it up on the mill, inspect it and oil everything up. My initial impression is that it's on the better end of Taiwanese quality, which is to say good enough for most purposes but not real professional US machine shop grade. I noticed the machining is pretty good, including the T-slots and the bottom surface. The movement is certainly smoother than Chinese, but not perfect. For the money, I am happy.

Seemingly quality product.
Bought this based on reviews from other home machinists. Sturdily built, smooth operation. Heavy. Only criticism is that I would have liked it better if it had four T slots rather than three.

Expected/typical Vertex quality (happy buyer)
Typical well-built Vertex item. Although only 4", the unit looks as though it will support larger dia material than expected with slight mods. Built like the proverbial "brick outhouse". New, higher price is a bit steep, but product pleases me....although I intended to buy a 6" device when I set out. Happy camper.

fast shipping, good quality, great price
Received the 12" rotary table 2 days early than suggested. First impressions are great, came packaged in a light duty wood crate which was adequate but will likely make a more suitable one that is better sealed and a bit better blocking to secure it from shifting, also with the longer of the 2 crank handles which is nice already having 2 handles by the way to be able to use a drill with a T-bar to power drive it installed, it won't quite fit as a fully assembled unit inside the shipping crate (Note: the only assembly needed was to mount the graduated hand wheel and the pair of crank handles). The cast iron body has some casting flaws but i don't know of any castings that don't and it has no effect on its operation, the difference is the lack of body filler and paint to hide such flaws like how the older castings and domestic manufactures used to finish there machines and components, it is also how they are able to keep costs lower, among other things. All machined surfaces have been ground and are defect free, all mechanisms move smoothly and even though it has a generic inspection test sheet, after inspecting it myself they managed to find one that matches this 12" rotary table pretty close. Very happy with it and looking forward to adding the indexing plate kit some day. I also have a Vevor 8 inch rotary table and in comparison the Vertex is much nicer quality but still the Vevor functions as expected. wasn't quite large enough to leave room for clamping so i lucked out on pricing for this unit and for $650 bucks delivered i couldn't pass it up. It was only $150 more than I originally paid for the Vevor 8" and 100% more usable for me and very nice quality. Did not come with alignment keys like the Vevor did
