Altra Footwear LP Alpine

These are very well-made - more rugged than other altra shoes I've owned. Nice amount of cushioning for walking or hiking. More leather than other altra shoes - around the toes for example. Sturdier lacing and laces. I like the original foot shape and these have that. They fit me well - I have wide toes and slightly flat arches. And they manage to look nice enough for town wear too.

I have been using Altra Running Shoes for years and decided to try these light weight hiking shoes. They are comfortable with no break in period necessary for both short and longer hikes. Buy these!

Love the cushioning and the suede outer shell. Good heel fit and love the wide toe area BUT this particular pair unfortunately rubbed the top of my big toe and smallest toe - which the regular Lone Peak 6 does not do. Very disappointed as I loved the slightly dressier look of the suede. Had to return unfortunately.

This is my third time purchasing these shoes, I absolutely love these, they will be the most comfortable shoes you’ll ever wear! Plus they have amazing grip for hiking over boulders, tough terrain, etc. The first time I purchased these, I took them right out of the box and hiked around Death Valley for a week. I was used to wearing wider shoes like keens, these are my go-to now. Plus they just look good too. Love ‘em!

These are great shoes for the hiker that wishes they could wear their trail runners daily and not look like a dweeb. I already had a pair of the regular Lone Peak trail runners for hiking and also a pair of Escalantes that were my daily wear shoes. The Escalantes were ok but fit more like a soft sock and don't have much structure and not much tread (and the tread delaminated too quickly). They finally wore out so I decided to try these Lone Peaks because they are more structured but still light weight and flexible and have the same Lone Peak tread so I could even wear them on the trail if I wasn't worried about getting them dirty. I knew that Altras run smaller in size than the 9 1/2 that I usually wear, so I ordered 10 1/2 and they fit perfectly. I have relatively flat feet with a low arch so these are perfect for me and took no time to break in. My feet have become accustomed to the wide toe box and now I hate wearing most other shoes that don't have wiggle room for my toes. Thanks Altra, keep making these!

These shoes are great for walking if it’s not wet. The foot bed is soft, the toe box is very large and comfortable, and with arch supports inserted, they work very well for 8000 steps of walking. My kids tell me they look like old lady shoes, but then again, I am an old lady. I bought them for hikes in Scotland, and I’m afraid they won’t work because they slip so badly when it’s wet.

Shoes never fit me right, I gave up, until I saw these. They actually hug your heel while providing adequate toe room. They are wonderfully grippy. Runs large

This shoe looks great and has everything going for it except for the tongue. The tongue of the shoe has no padding so it rubs the top of the ankle raw, even with hiking socks. I am so disappointed!

I bought these shoes based on another buyer's review saying they were great for foot problems such as hammer toe and Morton Neuroma. They were absolutely right and I am not disappointed; they look good and are extremely comfortable. The wide toe box is perfect as your toes are not restricted at all.

Looked high and low for the correct size of these. Amazon had the for a great price and delivery was flawless. Shoes are great as well. Thanks again Amazon.
