2011 release from the Phoenix-based Indie/Alt-Rock duo. Knife Man is a record about love, poverty, violence, luck, discrimination, homelessness, and Phoenix, Arizona. Recorded by their longtime engineer Jalipaz at Audioconfusion, AJJ formed an Arizona all-star band, borrowing members from ROAR, Doth, French Quarter, and Malakai. The Knife Man sessions have yielded Andrew Jackson Jihad's most cohesive and driving album yet.

Great Album
Great album, loved it on Vinyl, sounds more warm and hi-fi than the CD. I would recommend over the CD version.

I don't mean to imply the mainstream isn't good or not worth it
There are a lot of indie bands out there, all producing unique and different music from what's usually presented in the mainstream. Now, I don't mean to imply the mainstream isn't good or not worth it, it's just exploring the indie scene can be a very refreshing and rewarding experience, specially because these bands often present usually untouched and unusually elaborated on topics.Such is the case with Andrew Jackson Jihad, a varying band led often by Sean Bonnette. Their unique sound could have a hard time becoming "popular," but the messages behind each song alone make AJJ's music exciting and reflexive.AJJ aims to crudely present human condition and social issues in the raw of emotion, producing songs filled with empathy, love and fear of oneself all at the same time. They explicitly display problematic topics, like male empowerment in their song "American Tune," and exhibit their more prominent issues, starting an introspective process on the listener.I believe one can learn a lot by listening to AJJ and I'd think if more people listened to them with an open mind they would certainly be amazed.

Mega gut!
Ich kann dieses Album rauf und runter hören und es wird nicht schlechter und ebenso wenig langweilig. Perfekt für den kommenden Sommer! Meine Anspieltipps: Distance, Sad Songs und Fucc The Devil.
