Philips 9004 X-tremeVision Upgrade Headlight Bulb with up to 100% More Vision, 1 Pack

I guess that is a conditional 5 star rating. Why? Because the bulbs I bought previously did not hold up as long as they should and both went out at the exact same time. Weird. That being said... In the interim between the old bulbs and these, I tried a pair of the higher temperature white/blue bulbs. True enough, the light was whiter, and maybe brighter, but in the long run I could not see as well. Something about that screwed up the pattern from the fixtures. So I ordered new Philips X-tremeVision bulbs and I'm back in business. Yep, the light still has more of a yellow tint but now I can see. Again. I think I'm done with the experiments.

Definitely brighter than the stock bulbs on my 2011 Toyota Tundra.It seemed like it took a couple of hours of run time before I noticed the significant increase. The light is whiter compared to stock, and the beam pattern seems wider and to reach farther.I keep my headlights on all the time, so I will have to see how the life compares to the stock bulbs.Also, I am considering the x-tremeVison for the high beams when I comes time to replace those.

I purchased these to be used as fog lights. Good pattern and brightness. Tried three different LEDs and these are brighter with a better pattern for my truck.

First bulb burned out in about six months and the second one was one week behind it. They only give a 3 month warranty on these when Sylvania covers a year on all of their hallogen bulbs. Lesson learned, don't buy Philips.

Excellent bulbs. Do not expect twice the illumination or twice the range, but you can expect a more uniform light that extends out farther than the OEM bulbs.

The top right hand corner of the package says +100% more light, not sure what they were comparing it to, a match or candle. This was purchased for a motorcycle and it wasn't any brighter than the one I replaced.

I was skeptical about the claim of providing 100% more brightness than standard halogen bulbs, but it is true. The bulbs on my 2003 GMC Envoy were easy to replace, a 10 minute job. Definitely worth the price.

These bulbs were nice and bright but they BOTH burned out within a week of each other fourteen months after installation. In my opinion that is unacceptable.

**UPDATE** its now May 24th 2024. The driver side light for regular beam went out around May 3rd. The passenger side light went out May 23rd. Crazy. Its like these lights were refurbished or something because its consistent with a few other reviews i read before originally purchasing these lights. These were brighter a tad bit, but replacing them every 6 months is absurd.I bought some Sylvania bulbs from Canadian Tire sometime in the middle of 2023. Just as december arrived the driver side bulb went out. Upon further inspection the filament actually broke.So instead of settle for an avg 900 lumen bulb i went to search for whats best for the same 65$.1200 lumens shipped and deliver for 65$. Popped them right in, and instantly noticed the wider ray of light and how much brighter the bulbs were. Definitely worth the purchase if youre skeptical, the product arrived to canada within 2 days of ordering from intl. definitely buy these for a better driving experience.
