NoctuaNM-AM4-UxS, Mounting Kit for Noctua CPU Coolers on AMD AM4 Platforms

Does what it was designed to do. Had a minor panic attack when I went to install it and had nothing to thread to. While removing the previous stock cooling, the AMD Back-plate fell off behind the motherboard and landed on the padded case panel. I didn't hear or notice this. When I went to install, the screws were just floating with nothing to fasten to. The back plate just rested in the mobo holes so I had to have assistance as I put the case vertical, have somebody hold the back-plate in place, and then I attached one mount and screw from this kit. That kept it in place that I could work on one bracket first, undo the screw I used for support and then attach the second bracket.However, after installation the NH-U14S fit perfectly. Zero issues. Packaging is also very neat and precise.

Allowed me to move my Noctua UH9S from a LGA 1151 mounting into an AM4 socket build. All parts required were included and packaging was top tier as always with Noctua. I really appreciate their forward thinking when designing coolers capable of spanning multiple generations and families of CPUs.

Noctua is great. They don't make a completely new heatsink you have to buy every time a new socket comes out. They'll release the same heatsink with different mounting options, but they don't force you to buy a new kit. They sell the mounting brackets separately like this so you can save money and only get the kit. So not only do they make superior products, they also don't nickel and dime you every time you upgrade your system. I've been buying Noctua products since they came out and they've never given me a reason to use any other company for fans and heatsinks.

It does the thing! Cooler is in fact held in place. It’s easy to install, and the instructions were clear. No complaints.

After two hours of frustration, I finally got out my calipers and found that there was no way my NH-D14 was going to work with these brackets. I then looked at the manual more closely and realized that I had ordered the wrong version. Product is cheap enough to not be worth returning, I'll just keep it in case I run across someone who might need it.

I’m not sure why everyone is saying this fits so well on AM4. This is the third Noctua product I’ve purchased where I had to massage the mounting holes and/or shim the brackets on the heat sink in order to make it fit or make proper contact…at all. This is the third and final Noctua heat sink I will buy. The brackets screw down to the motherboard just fine, but the threaded studs the heat sink attached to are to close together by almost 1/8” making impossible to attach regardless of which set(orientation) I installed. Then I remembered I had to “massage” the holes quite a bit on the last one to get it to mate up. For such an overpriced brand, this is unacceptable. This is the last Noctua product I will buy

You can get this kit for FREE from noctua themselves on their website, I bought from amazon for quick shipping turnaround, as my need for parts was more immediate. The kit worked as intended, Noctua's mounting system still puts all its competitors to shame.
