Expensive, but a purchase you won't regret!
I've been turning for nearly 40 years and this center is the cat's meow. While I appreciate a good tool I usually don't get this excited about a new tool. Let me explain;) Unlike the standard four prong center, this requires very little penetration into the wood to adequately hold nor does it require the standard X-grooves cut into the stock. I haven't had it break free yet; something I can't say about any other center. I've attached pics showing the pattern left by this center after turning a table leg in a piece of Jatoba (2X+ harder than white oak). The spring loaded center pin is also much more helpful than I initially thought it would be. It's spring-loaded so it applies enough force to keep things centered but not enough to cause deviation from center that can occur when 'driving' in standard spurs. In fact, this requires barely any pressure to firmly engage the stock; no pounding with a dead blow hammer, for example.

Good stuff
It is holding up beautifully, and unlike the cheap replicas you can find, the spring point doesn't keep trying to fall out.

Great Product
Great product and worked as expected. Don’t buy an off brand cheep drive center, you’ll be disappointed. Buy the Sorby or another well known, trusted brand.

Really stable
Great gripping action.

......... ...
..........seems to be an effective driver for small to medium size projects. It is much safer than the 4 sur driver, and has nearly the same abilities to drive projects.

It might be that I am just a novice but it is not the easiest to set into a piece of wood

A must have for your wood lathe
This is a must have for your wood lathe. It makes chucking up a piece to turn much simpler and holds much better than the live center that is included with most lathes.
