Can these be used for medical mj or do they remove thc?

Yes they can, that's basically what they are produced for. I think they work great. They filter out a good amount of the tar, the stuff you don't want in your lungs. Yes they capture some of the THC, maybe 15-20%, but that would be a lot. For that though you get 80-85% less tar, and less of the most cancerous particles as it is filtering out the largest pieces and ash, which a typical paper rolled filter will not do. Imagine smoking a cigarette without a filter, then with one, without the filter you might pass out, I know I have to sit down, so it depends on what you are going for. I personally love these and think they should be mandatory by law for all smoking devices that currently use non biodegradable filters. I find it absurd that cigarette companies have not had to answer to that environmental impact, which affects all of us, smokers or not.
