Lizbeth Size 80 (HH80155 184 Yds 10 Grams Cotton Thread, Ocean Sunset

I need to learn about thread weights. Size 80 is like a strong sewing thread. The size of the spool of thread is about one tenth the size of a regular spool of crochet thread. I received the delivery yesterday and I’m thinking about returning this order due to my ignorance of thread sizes. I’ll think about it for a couple of days. Maybe I can use it some how. ???😕

Picture shows it the same size out comparable as larger spools. I won't buy again.

Makes beautiful tatting projects

Absolutely amazing tatting thread. This thread is very tightly twisted, very strong, very smooth, super mercerised. It's a little stiff, which is great for tatting. It almost blocks itself!! I almost never break the thread pulling rings closed; it slides beautifully. The color is bright and vibrant. The only real con I can come up with is price. Per yard, it's more than twice the cost of DMC Cordonnet 80. If you like a softer thread, lizbeth might be a little stiff your for crochet lace, especially for long lines of single chains. Still, honestly I love it for crochet, too. Little pricey, but really great thread.

Beautiful thread, I ordered this size 80 by mistake, and what a great mistake that was..! I'm completely in love with micro embroidery now. I'm starting to collect all the colors, Lizbeth thread is now my go to every time I start a new project - it's strong, knots slip out easily, and a ton of gorgeous thread on this tiny ball.

The headline description speaks of 20 gauge, but they are referring the size of beading that can be strung on the thread. When checking the full description, it states 80 gauge.

Color is much lighter than shown. Still like it but liked the darker shade better

Purchaced for a handquilting project. Not enough thread for a small hand sewn quilting project. Colors are beautiful tho..
