Can't speak for other cases but if you are talking about the Ringke Air Sport Case then forget it. I've tried multiple times and this protector end up peeling / wrinkling up at the edges in less than a day.

Q: So is this version 1 or 2?

This is case friendly version 1. Case friendly version 1 purposely cuts into the display of the Note 8 and does not cover up to the edge of the screen. This allows for use with a wide range of cases especially those that cover up to the edge of the screen or more.

Q: Does it work for active2 lte/4g model too ??

I purchased this for the Samsung Active 2 (LTE) 44mm. The LTE doesn't change the watch size (just an added feature). The screen protector fits, but is was a little hard to put on. There is a YouTube that helps.
