Brilliant set, lots of great details.
This great set includes an intricate dojo/temple with lots of great details, including what seem to me to be possible references to the show. The side builds are well designed fire mech (which I was a bit sceptical of at first, due to the lack of wrist joints, however it has great playability and is very sturdy), a rammer vehicles for the villains, and connected to the dojo is a bridge leading to a training ground for Nya, however this bridge isn't the most securely connected, hence the loss of a star in the "Sturdiness" category.Apart from the bridge connection, there is nothing I don't like about this great set.It took a good 4-4.5 hours to build, and was very satisfying to put together. As for value for money, even though I bought this while it was on offer, I would happily pay £90 for this. It is very large and the minifigure selection is great, plus it is highly detailed and very sturdy.Just like all Lego, the instructions are easy to follow.I would highly recommend this.10/10

Lego is quality.
Great hit with my 6 year old. He managed to make the whole building with only a very little help from his parents. It is sturdy enough to play with.

Getting that training done
Finally, a Ninjago 2022 release that didn't disappoint! Not only was this an intriguing build with some techniques which were new to me but the finished look of the set is absolutely excellent. It really does look like a temple complex and the bright red against the blacks and greens works really well. It is a big beast though and will take up an inordinate amount of room either on the playroom floor or on a shelf. The mech and the transporter for the snake bad guys are okat touches. Nothing particularly impressive and, to be entirely honest, there is enough going on here for them to not really be necessary to either the build or play enjoyment. You get a plethora of minifigures, sadly only 2 bad guys but plenty of the Ninjago Team. Not a quick build and some tricky, fiddly sections but definitely very, very enjoyable. The techniques for the peaked roofs are slightly different on each level and create a effective finish that is surprisingly sturdy. The annoying section is the torches in the little zen garden as the flames keep slipping out. They look great but don't actually anchor in so every time you nudge the base even a bit they drop out.The rear of the temple is open so this definitely gears towards play and there are so many options. From collapsing walls to a game room, small altar room, weapons cache and so much more. This is a really incredible set and for the price point it really is very good value. Definitely one for the slightly older Ninjago fan though. Many thanks to the Amazon Vine Program for a review copy of this product. Huge ninjago set with good number of ninjas to play with and an absorbing build
This LEGO Ninjago set is aimed at ages 8+ and somewhere suitable for adults too.The kit has 12 bags for components and 382 steps in the instruction booklet (i.e. a comparable number of steps to e.g. the Technic Batmobile or Land Rover)Bags 1 and 2 have the pieces for some ninja figures and the vehicle - a gentle start, easier builds. Then bags 3 to 11 progressively build out the main dojo, with a few more ninja figures along the way. Having a few more ninja figures sprinkled in breaks up the main dojo build and gives a bit more ‘gratification’. Then the final bag adds the extension to the dojo and one last figure. Seasoned LEGO builders will know not to open all the bags at the start, that would certainly cause a muddle with this set.A few things along the way help you personalise the build, and for play, e.g different hair and scarves for the ninjas, also the broken down wall. We loved the fact that the instructions showed you how to launch rockets and we loved the mini scenes in-between completed parts of the build. There was adult help needed for the 10 year old building the set with me at times - mostly where the pieces in question couldn't be applied without rotating the piece-in-progress first. After pointing out the symbol for this which is repeated on the instructions, it was built more independently.Building instructions are also available in the LEGO Building Instructions App, which I downloaded viaGoogle Play. The App is also available via App Store. The app allows you to download a PDF of eachbooklet, or 3D instructions, which are far more fun!At the current sale price of £74.99 this is great value for money for Ninjago fans. For display it is very large and tall (approx 32cm) so if you intend to leave it out make sure you have plenty of room!
