Melissa & Doug Knight Puppet

We got this puppet and the princess and we thought that the quality of the product was higher than you would guess based on price alone. We read a lot of good reviews so we expected it to be good and were not disappointed. You would be surprised how challenging it is at first to match your puppet's mouth to the words you are saying/singing. Lots of fun.All of the knight's armour is a shiny fabric, but it looks as good or better than a plastic alternative. The beard is hilarious. The wand sticks into a recess in the wrist and is fastened there with velcro, so you can change it from right ot left-handed use pretty easily.Would definitely buy again.

Added this super cute, strong, knight puppet to the repertoire of stage puppets in the care and supervision of a grade school puppeteer. He's got a shiny coat of armor and a kind face. He gets along perfectly with the "royals"! We especially like that he enjoys teaming up with dragons and lions rather than hunting them down. Love Melissa and Doug puppets as they are simple, friendly, easy care, and inexpensive. The Melissa and Doug puppet theater is active here. Off the cuff monologues and mini plays are emerging all the time. Now there's talk of "writing" scenes and plays. This little puppet helps build confidence and coordination skills. An entertaining, educational and engaging puppet that helps get the creative communication juices flowing!

I just have to tell you this Puppet brought so much for to my Grandson's 3rd Birthday! I bought him the Puppet Theater and 8 of these puppets. The puppet is well worth the money. They all are. The clothes on them are so well made with velcro on them so you can remove them and wash them. You can take the hand stick off or leave it on. We had so much fun with all of them and my grandson and his Sister have puppet theater plays all the time. They are the size in the picture, not small. They almost remind me of the Muppet show :-) just too cute.

Seriously, how can you go wrong with Melissa & Doug. I bought a Melissa & Doug Puppet Theatre for my Grandkids, and so of course, I had to buy the puppets too! I bought the Princess, the Knight, the King, Cheerleader, Mermaid, Dragon, and the Pirate. Wow, have we had fun! Great quality! Great costumes! Great prices!

Awesome! All of these puppets are great. They look amazing, the mouths move, the stick is removable and the size of the puppets is not small. I have not one complaint. The kids spend hours with these. The mouths are not hard to control. I purchased the king, princess, knight, dragon, fireman, and one more I can't remember. Love them all. Buy them. You won't be disappointed.

I have a serious issue of not reading the size of a product before I buy it, so the large size of this puppet was a wonderful surprise. The puppet looks like you spent a large amount of money on it (though we know otherwise) and is great for big and little hands. The hand stick can be removed if you have a little one like myself (be warned they will use it as a weapon). I bought several so make sure you have a bag or cubby for your puppets otherwise you'll find them all over the floor (the child sized duffel bag I had was too small for five, only two or three fit). This toy is great during story time, and both my husband and my son have enjoyed creating stories. The table top stage is a great addition, but the back of the couch or just sitting together works just as well.

This is a wonderful, no-fail gift for boys or girls! We have gifted these characters for five years now, and they are always the hit of the party! The adults end up taking turns and they're just great fun. Ages 2 & up. (Currently 4 & 6.5 year olds playing with them daily.) The fireman is a great one too.

We got this puppet, along with two design your own princesses, the dragon and the puppet theater for my daughter for Christmas and she LOVES them!! He loves to put on her own plays and more often than not, the princesses are either saving the knight from the dragon or the dragon from the knight! My princess is her own hero, she needs no saving from a man! :D
