Purchased used copy for friend's child, and it was in perfect condition. The recipient was thrilled to receive it as she could just open the book, get her colored pencils, and start learning right away how to successfully draw the Disney characters included. The skills she learned from the book also improved her drawing ability in other areas as well. She is 10 yrs old, and had no problem following the instructions and designs. Book was delivered before projected arrival time, perfectly packaged. I would recommend this book for any young student wanting to learn how to begin to learn the art of cartooning.

Which is almost the same as me loving it. I order this while we were still at DisneyLand since the whole family enjoyed the drawing lessons that we had at the park. I think the kids would have stayed there all day if we had more time. While this book is no live Disney Cast Member talking you through the sketch, it is a good set of guidelines for taking simple shapes and making them into familiar characters. This is keeping the young artists in the family quite happy.

This book has a very nice assortment of characters and the directions for drawing are very helpful. I believe most everyone would have luck drawing Disney characters using this book as I am not artistic and have had a good experience with it. I'm happy I purchased it and cannot wait to do some with my granddaughter when she visits this summer. She will be 9 and I think she can successfully draw some of the characters, too.

I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my son who loves to draw. I'm impressed by the variety of characters represented in this book. The key is that this is nearly a self instructing book, our 5 year old can sit down and capture the main points to drawing the characters while the book also has some harder pictures to draw that our 10 year old can master as well.The great thing is they have memorized how to draw some of their favorite characters for other drawings.

My 30 sons loves everything about Disney. He likes to draw. The perfect gift. He loves it.

A good example of how this art is so piece meal is this book. The goal of this book is not help an artist that wants to draw and learn Disney's techniques, uses of materials and layout. Instead it is to fracture a presentation of this art into tiny pieces the art for others to copy.

This 'How to Draw" book is great. If you love Disney Characters (or not) it's interesting. And if you like to draw and did not know how they drew these characters, it's a wonderful teaching tool.

Just what I wanted

It's a very easy guideline for an 8 years old. Even I as an adult enjoyed drawing along with him. Definitely a good buy. The book is beautifully constructed, pages are thick so even a younger child wouldn't be able to tear it too easily. My son loves the colors and fell in love with the book.
