I have bought other products that were not as strong To hold up even my cell phone. I bought a tablet, Samsung 8a and that thing is really heavy, and this mount holds it up. There are reviews that say it's too stiff. But that's the reason that it holds up the ipad so well. So if you have something really heavy and you need something strong. I highly recommend this. Its not too bulky or hard to setup either. Very well made.

Not sure what the rest of these reviews are with claiming that it doesn’t support much weight. I would suggest attaching your device to the arm first and then tightening the bolts with the included tool to counter the weight of the device that’s being held after. If it can hold my surface pro up like this, it can certainly support an iPad.

Definitely better quality than I anticipated and with the included hex screw, it’s easy to make it more sturdy for heavier screens or tablets. I am using it for a 10” raspberry pi touch screen and it holds it extremely well even while tapping and touching on the screen. Highly recommended

This was for my end table next to my couch, I have a small lip for it to clip onto and I was worried it would not hold onto the table. This does a great job staying put clamped down to the small lip of the table. Overall very impressed by this product and would recemond. It does come with a Alen wrench to tighten the joints. When I have the weight to far to one side it wanted to fall down, But one quick tighten of the joint with the provided wrench and it will hold perfectly.

This stand has been pretty good so far. It can be a bit cumbersome to get the angles just right. It’s also bouncy. Any movement on my desk or any time I touch my iPad on the stand causes it to bounce a good bit. Overall, it does serve a purpose and is priced well. I do wish it had a ball joint connector for better range of motion.
