The Murders at Fleat House

Thank You Harry Whittaker
This is an express train of a book, fast paced and once it gets going there’s no jumping off until the end. I love Lucinda’s books, I found The Seven Sisters first then started ploughing through the rest of them until the next book came out. Naturally I pre-ordered this one. A very fine Author has been lost to us, versatile, succinct, doesn’t waste a word. Her son decided not to do the edit on it his mother would have but to let it stand as she left it in 2006, and you would never know. It has sold the test of time, as a testament to a great writer.

A brilliant book - a far cry from 'The Seven Sisters' series
I have been an avid reader of 'The Seven Sisters' series. I have found each volume, fascinating reading and waited expectantly for each new one.I was most distressed to hear of the passing of Lucinda and wondered what this new title would bring for the reader. I absolutely loved the intrigue of 'The Murders at Fleat House'. real pity that this is going to be a standalone novel from the pen of the late Lucinda Riley or is this the start of a new series, perhaps from the pen of her son?

There is nothing written by this author that I have not enjoyed, brilliant.
I wasn’t sure that murder was the genre that appealed to me, but it was simply brilliant. Can’t recommend highly enough. So very sad that we will have no more of this wonderful author’s work.

Gripping crime drama
I have read every one of the late Lucinda Riley's books but didn't know what to expect from this crime drama, which is quite a departure from her others. The foreword by her son tells you that it was written years ago in 2006 and that it was being published with very little editing. It obviously didn't need it because I found it a well-written page turner. I didn't guess the murderer until quite near the end. The detective Jazz is a fully-rounded character, who could quite easily have appeared in a series of follow ups. Lucinda's death represents such a loss to the world of publishing as well as to her family.

Really enjoyable Whodunnit!
As usual, a Riveting tale from Lucinda Riley, which emphasises the Loss of this wonderful writer. There is a moving Prologue from her son, which explains how the novel came to be written. A Wonderful and Enjoyable Read!
