Bartenders will recognize quality, non-bartenders will be impressed that such a bag exists
High-quality canvas bag and very sturdy. I've got a big rubber mallet and was a little apprehensive about hammering too hard, as I've torn towels in the past. But this bag holds up very well time after time after time: hammer away on ice cubes and out come near-crushed ice, the best kind of ice there is for drinks. A couple of nice features really set this bag apart: a hanging loop, so you can hang it to dry or keep handy near your bar cart, and a strap that allows you to fold over the top and tuck it behind this strap to keep the bag closed whilst crushing ice. On top of that, the bag just plain looks good. Crisp, clean canvas. Washes up well. Looks professional and sanitary and definitely something to be proud of; people who know bartending will recognize quality, people who don't, will be impressed that such a bag exists. Five stars, well deserved.

Your meat tenderizing mallet you probably already have will do your crushing fine. Mine is a metal Kitchen Aid model.
This bag is heavier than I imagined. I've never owned one though. Tried an old (burlap) Chili Kit bag I'd saved and was disappointed with it's performance. It was half the size of this bag & leaked...boo. Look forward to using it. I'll finally get my ice crushed well enough for my Derby Day Juleps!

It's value is in its simplicity and rugged design.
I've only used it a couple times now, but it's already stood up to quite a beating. I've been using the flat side of a meat tenderizer and it works great. I used to have to use gallon size ziploc bags but those tear up before the cubes are even all cracked. The absorbent canvas material draws away excess moisture really well. If you're only breaking up one ice tray at a time, the flap keeps anything from flying out onto the counter. This has made Mai Tai Time extra refreshing.

Does its job well.
I’m making 2-3 milkshakes daily for my husband who is battling cancer. He likes them over crushed ice. I was going through plastic bags right and left. This bag is perfect! I can pound away with the mallet and get nice crushed ice as often as I want. The bag works great and dries quickly.

Look, before you use
When I received the product I opened it up and there was a black spot you can see from the outside so I looked in the inside where you put the ice and it kind of looks like mold in the burlap which I didn't like and I didn't want to risk it so I'm sending it back

Small but effective
I've used this product twice so far and have been happy with it so far. I plan on using it soon to crush ice for a party, so we'll see how it stands up some more substantial and extended use.

Crushed ice anywhere!
I LOVE THE BAG! I bought the large bag and was able to make quite a few drinks from one full bag of crushed ice. The nice thing about it was the ice was crushed but the bag and ice remained dry. The canvas wicked away the water beautifully. I recommend this bag!
