The Best Knife on Amazon
The best knife on Amazon. Carried this knife on deployment. It deploys upon opening so it’s ready to use in situations both dire or knotty. Made of great steel. Balanced. An amazing knife. If you’ve read it, please buy it. Learn how to use it on YouTube for the pocket opening feature and enjoy.

Great Quality!
Great knife for the money! I had a similar green knife from Kershaw before and I loved the pocket catch on the blade so much that I don’t want to wear any other knife for my EDC. Once you get it down (it takes some practice) and have the knife oriented the way you like (since you can put the clip on either side) you can deploy the knife in a half second, and it’s completely legal compared to a switchblade or spring assist. I just lost a bolt on my old knife and ordered this one as a replacement (although Kershaw does offer hardware replacements). I love the shape and size of this knife. It’s a perfect EDC knife for protection and as a tool. The build quality is fantastic. The knife is really solid and when the blade is locked there is no play in any direction. The handle on the tan side is pretty grippy in the hand and satin finish on the black side is not as grippy but I like it. The blade is so sharp that I wanted to do a paper test and it slices paper like a dream. I think this is one heck of a knife for the price. My only complaint is that the pocket catch is patented lol. Because of that, there aren’t many options and I think every carry knife should have one.

My Favorite Kershaw Emerson - I have 2 Other Models (4XL, 10 CQC)
This is my 3rd Kershaw Emerson. When the price was reduced by 25% I had to buy it...:)I like the size and shape of this knife. It's easy to conceal but also big enough in my hand to use as a strike enhancer.I've been involved in FMA (Filipino Martial Arts - Escrima/Arnis/Kali) for over 35 years and train with blades often. Being retired has its benefits...:)The wave feature on Kershaw Emerson's does not take that long to learn. Better yet this blade is small enough to fit in your hand and you don't have to use the wave feature and can open it using the thumb stud.I have a few knives, (fixed blades, folders, Karambits, etc, etc.) Cheaper blades for training and more expensive (Benchmade, Spyderco, etc) for when I have to dress up.The Kershaw-Emersons are an incredible value and they don't cost much. With some knives selling for $125 and over, an under $50 knife this well made, is one heck of a deal.

A really nice knife at any price!
Love this knife! I've read many reviews that want to compare this to brands that, for a similar knife, would cost 3-5 times more, but I'm not going to spend $50+ for an everyday carry knife. Unless you are a "Knife Geek", you would never know the difference. My reason for only three stars is that the Khaki color handle is only on one side (The other is black). I'm not sure why they would do this, but I'd imagine it is a cost thing. Also, the small screws that hold the pocket clip on tend to work loose after a while. (I put a dab of super glue on them to keep them tight). The pocket clip is sturdy, and the blade keeps a good edge. The EZ-open feature takes a bit of practice, but once you get it down, it's second-nature and extremely handy. This is my second one after I forgot it was in my pocket and the TSA confiscated it! I had my first one for a couple of years, and it held up great.

Very much like a budget Emerson
I own SEVERAL Emerson knives with the wave feature, and have given several away to favorite people. When I discovered he had licensed Kershaw to use his wave at a VERY affordable price point, I had to check it out. This knife has become my EDC. It compares very favorably to a mini-commander, with one exception - I can't figure out why, but there is a subtle difference in drawing this knife from any of the Emersons. Those present with a smooth draw and open, but with this knife, I have to alter that smooth, ergonomic draw a little. I am sure I'll become more accustomed to it as I carry it more. But fit, finish and EDC quality are all there. I've managed to lose a couple of Emersons, so I know that if I lose this, the economic pain of replacing it will be much, much less.
