Does not work as advertised
Plugged it into 3 different machines and got the same result. Its detected in windows 10 and upon configuring the usb device as my default sound device, it actually produces decent sound but the mic just does not work. I just get this noise like its a 1980's fax machine instead of me talking.

This is GARBAGE!
My sound is ininitely worse. I contrasted against ugreen, monoprice monolith and soundblaster dongles across 3 computers. I did this because I wanted to find a cost effective dongle that does its job. I am getting sick of companies selling garbage.

Finally Something That Works
Hopefully this will be able to help someone else in a similar situation:I have a Tritton mic/headset that I use to game on my PlayStation, but could not for the life of me get it to work on my PC for gaming. I purchased a splitter which I would plug the 3.5mm jack into and it would go into the mic and the headphone port on my tower. Still did not work. (I could hear but I could not use the mic.) I decided to purchase this and crossed my fingers that a USB adapter would work. It did! Fired up right away with great sound quality. So glad I found the solution to my problem.

Great 3.5mm-USB splitter
It works as intended. All that matters, really, when referring to an inanimate object. It has no feelings, but questions me constantly. "Why must I be the 'middleman'? Why must I transfer sound from your computer to this 3.5mm headset jack?" To which I reply, "Because humanity hath not created a psychokinetic medium by which to transfer sound from computer to ear, silly." I digress.... Splitter is also accompanied by an exclusive DuKabel unconditional lifetime warranty. But wait! There's more! They offer another 18 months coverage to ease any post purchase worry. Worth the money, imo.
