Q: I’m looking for the size of the hook that fits under the dome and then screws up thru the dome into the brass top piece. What size is this screw hook?

Hi there, it is a 1" hook & hangs 2 3/8. I like the hanging set up, I don't care much for the dome it's self!

I'm not really sure I understand your question. This dome is made to hang from a hook that extends from the long center pole of a bird feeding station. Under the dome is another hanger from which you hang a feeder. I use mine to protect my seed cake hanger from the rain. I think it is about 10 inches wide so your hook should extend at least 6 inches from the pole, as most of these feeding stations do. I hope this helps.

Q: Will this keep squirrels off a feeder?

So far it's kept the squirrel from mine where he would climb up on the railing that's attached to my porch roof and lean over to grab the feeder--now he can't do that and he can't reach it from the railing below.

Q: where can I find the hard ware that is on the clear dome

The dome comes with the hardware to hang it and have something hang within it.
