Gorgeous...love from a Renoir fan!
I had my eye on this since I bought a set as an anniversary gift. I was heartbroken when they went out of stock, but my family surprised me with my own set this Mother's Day. It couldn't be any more perfect!

Finally, Bone China!
The media could not be loaded. I've been looking for a nice reasonably-priced real bone china for a while. This is it! I'm so glad they did Renoir too and not just Van Gogh and Monet. These mugs are just the right size (holds 10 oz.) and nicely shaped, not boxy straight on the sides like most mugs.Many bone china that are made in China are very different from the ones made in the U.K. ; they are mostly very heavy, more like porcelain than bone china, even the new Royal Albert ones. I don't know why the Royal Albert mugs and teacups that are made in China don't have the same quality as the old ones that were made in England. The company should have ensured the quality would be the same.Anyway, these McIntosh mugs are very nice, except one mug ( Boating on the Seine) that the color is not so vibrant, and I happen to like that painting a lot. I even have a canvas print of it.The weights of the mugs are: 211, 213, 216, 214 grams , which are comparable to other made in U.K. bone china mugs I have by Dunoon and Stechol (205, 217 grams respectively. ) these mugs would make a great gift as they come in such a nicely well- packaged box. I wish this company does other designs, not necessarily from famous artists so that I can buy more!Update: The mugs still look like new in Mar 2024. Now I see there're other nice designs, and I'm buying more; just can't decide among 3-4 yet. It seems that even if you add more than 1 items in the basket from this seller, the shipping stays the same.
