Painless LearningShapes and Colors Placemat Large

Rather than whining about dinner taking too long (seriously, I am not making gourmet meals here, but food takes time to get ready!!!), my kids are looking at their placemats entertained AND learning something new!This placemat is really sturdy, easy to clean and nice pictures that are appealing to kids. I bought a bunch of these placemats and each meal my kids get to pick out which one they want. I also like that these are super easy to keep clean and the shifting of plates, bowls, silverware, cups is not scratching my table! Why didn't I buy these sooner!?!?!

I love these placemats! Yes, they are laminated card stock, but because is IS card stock and not just flimsy paper, AND because the lamination itself is high quality, they make for a pretty sturdy mat. What I love about this style of placemat, vs. heavy plastic ones which we've also had, is that I can scrub the daylights out of them and the picture won't scrub off. We've had my older daughter's mat for several months now and it still looks great!

It's a two sided placemat. Bright colors on one side, black and white on the other. It serves it's purpose well, but the laminate was bubbled up on the backside a bit. It's only noticeable when you bend the placemat, (not fold it, but bend it as if to roll into a 3" or 4" diameter tube).My daughter loves it, and it cleans up nicely.

We have several of these placemats. Some of the others - specifically, the maps - have been way more useful to us. This may be partially my fault because my daughter already knew her colors and a decent amount of shapes. Still, this one inspired almost no interest from the kids. Shapes and colors are easily learned in other ways (that you already own), I'd say give this one a miss.

I have bought several place mats in the past only to be disappointment in a few months due to poor quality. So far this product has been great!! We use this place mat as well as others by this manufacturer several times a week for the past few months and have had no problems. The laminate is not peeling away like the others and the kids love the designs!!!

We ordered a few placemats from M. Ruskin and have been impressed with them all. The colors in the pictures are vivid and stay bright for - well, it's been over a year now and they are still beautiful! The information is great and the the kids "quiz" each other by holding up the "fill in the blank" side. :-)

I am using this as a chart to teach my 13 month old her shapes. I used it for her older brother as well when he was a baby. Love these placemats, fun for meal time or learning and activity time.

Our son loves these and I am happy with throwing in the towel on cloth placemats for now. They wipe off easily and our son is learning so much at mealtimes and it's fun!
