Love it! Pros and cons...
PROS: I love this jacket! It fits very well and amazes me how quickly it heats up. I tend to be cold when others aren’t, so not only do I use it outside, but it’s become my secret weapon in cold conference rooms, at the movie theater, the grocery store, and other places where it’s too cold for me. Putting it on low in those situations has kept me toasty! Love the hood too and that the coat is water & wind resistant. It is light and works well in cool temps without always needing to turn on the heater. It is fitted, looks good, and is thin enough to layer a longer coat over when needed. High winds tend to wick heat off the jacket, so when it’s super windy, I put a down coat over it to trap in the heat and that really helps. Since it’s a jacket and not a full coat, I also wear a long down coat over it for more coverage when it’s particularly bitter cold out. This coat is really helping me get through winter!CONS: The one big thing I don’t like about the coat is the battery is in the inside bottom of the jacket, and once I turn the jacket off, I cannot use the button on the outside of the jacket to turn it on again. Instead I have to unzip all the way and reach in to disconnect and reconnect the battery (sometimes several times) before the jacket will turn on again. Out in wind and snow I’ve had to unzip my jacket to do this.UPDATED REVIEW: The company reached out to me about the battery issue. They’ve redesigned the batteries so the on/off button on the outside of the jacket will turn it on again, and they sent me a replacement battery. The new battery works perfectly! So my one criticism has been addressed, and not only that, the customer service was amazing. If I could rate it six stars, I would! Both for the product, and the customer service. This coat works so well, fits great, and looks good! I love this coat and highly recommend it!!!!!

Loving this coat!
I'm always cold and I absolutely hate being cold. I usually dread doing anything that takes me outside when the temps are below 65 and I avoid visiting my family in the midwest during the winter months, but this coat has me a little less sad that winter is coming. This review may be a bit premature ... I'll try to remember to come back and update in the spring ... but I wore my jacket tonight using the heating function for the first time and I'm loving this thing so much I decided to post a review now.First of all, it's a nice looking coat and appears to be well made. No loose strings, pretty sturdy seaming/construction, my zippers don't stick, although I noted another reviewer didn't love their zipper. Unlike other reviews, I didn't think it was particularly slim fitting. I'm 5'6 and between a size 4 and 6. A large fits easily over a sweatshirt without making you feel like a marshmallow. I would agree that the sleeves and torso length might be a tiny bit short, probably not visibly short, but I like longer sleeves so I can hide my hands inside the ends for warmth and these sleeves aren't long enough for that. The battery fits into the inside left front pocket and it's not terribly heavy. I didn't feel like it was bulky - it just felt like I had a cell phone in that pocket. As far as the heating function ... I charged the battery overnight about 2 weeks ago right after my coat arrived in the mail, but the weather hadn't really been cold enough to justify using it until tonight. The battery has been sitting unused and not connected to the charger for 2 weeks and it was still holding a full charge (another reviewer mentioned this, but the charger has a red/green LED to indicate when it's done charging - green is good to go). The battery has 5 small blue LED indicators to tell you the charge. I forgot to review the instructions before leaving the house and it took me 2 minutes to figure out that you have to turn the coat on by holding down the little button in the left collar/lapel area. And yes, it's a little odd to have an LED indicator on the collar shining the whole time the heating function is on (I was sitting in a freezing cold movie theater and felt a smidge conspicuous with the light glowing), but whatever. I flipped the collar down and that blocked most of the light. The LED indicator is red when it's in "preheat/warm up" mode or on high. As another reviewer detailed it will automatically cycle down to medium (white) after about 5 minutes in warm up mode. Medium is still noticeably warm. Low setting = blue. It was pretty subtle heat on the low setting, but the coat holds warmth pretty well, so I think it's probably a good setting since this coat is thin enough that you could layer over it for a long day outside in the cold. Super easy to change from one heat setting to another. You hit the button once to go to the next setting down and hold the button down for a few seconds to turn the heating function off/on. I didn't wear it long enough to test the battery life in any setting, but I switched it back and forth from high to medium to low to off at various points in time over about 3.5 hours and the battery indicator lights still had 4 out of 5 blue LEDs lit after that. Not sure if I'd count on that being accurate, but if it is, that's pretty solid for a heated coat that cost less than $150. Yes, it would be nice if all heated gear would run heating elements through every single part of the coat, but I haven't found any coat (affordable or otherwise) that has elements running front and back full length and front and back down the sleeves, too. I think this coat is a great deal for what it does. Besides, even with heated sleeves you're going to need heated gloves if you want your fingers to be warm ... I already purchased a pair of Flambeau heated gloves from Amazon so I'll be ready to face the cold!

Spouse loves the fit, color, and warmth.
Great gift idea when you are out of ideas and worried these seem like something that might only get used a few times and then just become another jacket in the closet. True to size on their sizing chart (we also ordered one size up) but the sizing chart is pretty good. These only heat your back, but wife says on turbo mode its more than enough to keep you warm. Has been used in the snow at about 20 'F outside with 10-20 mph winds and keeps up. She also uses just cool days as a normal jacket and bonus! In the car even if you have dual climate control this helps regulate personal temp, and also awsome to have when in a large box store that has those big walkin dairy/produce fridges (even in the summertime) Only complaint or really more of a recommendation, it would be nice if the manufacture went over to a USB C plug for connecting to jacket, not just for charging, it would allow for more battery packs to be used. On super high temp, the battery goes close to 4 hours, which is where spare battery packs are nice. I have not done the research but I can probably get a coaxial power connector to USB C adapter. Also haven't looked up the cost of buying spare battery packs in case I need to be careful on the output to not damage the heating elements. Or up-sell idea, Amazon can maybe recommend these purchases in the also bought together items section.....

Good but wished the battery charged faster/lasted longer
This jacket is awesome. It has kept me warm throughout the summer and I look forward to seeing how it does in the winter. I do find that the back cools are hotter then the front coils which is a bit disappointing. When you wear it at night your chest has a glowing light (the power switch) that definitely catches peoples attention. The battery takes quite a while to charge and dies within about four hours of use switching between the medium and high settings. I'm going to buy a second battery for long days.

Love this jacket and Ororo’s customer service! 5
Love this jacket and Ororo’s customer service has been exceptional! It is keeping my warm right now, but temps are not too low yet. Will be interesting to see how it works in minus 40 degree weather. I am one of those people that is cold all the time and I sweat my poor husband out in the seat next to me while in our truck. Now I stay warm in my jacket and he doesn’t have to sweat. Lol. Did have an issue with the battery not fully charging, but customer service was excellent and sent me a new battery right away. Jacket is a bit shorter then I typically wear, but I am getting used to it. Thank you Ororo!

Heated back is nice, jacket could be bit longer
I first ordered a Medium - waaaay too big. The Small fits perfectly, it is a slim fit. The difference in the two was quite significant on me.PROS:- Warms you up/keeps you feeling comfortable - the back heating element you feel it A LOT more than the front.- Easy to charge battery- Easy to turn on coat (press and hold until it goes flashing red, once ready it goes to white (medium setting)- Battery located inside left side of coat you don't notice it, bit of weight to it but get used to it (other brands battery is behind you which you'd feel more when sitting down)- Battery can charge other devices- Nice slim look, looks water repellent, good fit- HEATING LEVELS: It automatically goes to Medium when you turn it on which is a very comfortable heat level. Low is, pretty low barely feel it but is nice. Easy to switch between levels. High for me was really WAY too high, it got uncomfortably hot on my back and that was with wearing layers underneath. It was shocking how hot it got after a bit. I only use Low/Medium settings. * NOTE: battery life length level is DIFFERENT depending on what setting you have it on! I got a spare battery on sale so I can always switch, which is good!CONS- The jacket for me (5'6" female) - feels it needs to be an inch or two longer. Wearing a hooded sweatershirt or 'longer' (average length really) sweater, you see the sweater under the coat which I don't like that much...- Would have liked double zipper option so you can open the coat a bit from the bottom when you sit down as it really bunches up funny in the middle when zipped up and sitting.- The hood could be longer/just a bit bigger in the front so it'll stay on your head more... It's that barely on look which, means it's barely on. It's almost perfect.- When I first got the coat ((both times, the original Medium size and the Small I have kept)) - a lot of small strands of thread were coming out of various areas of stitching... which was worrisome at first thinking quality wise but now it's okay so it's like it just needed to be 'fluffed' up for them to fall out. All looks good now.- Someone else said the inner pocket to hold the battery the material is a lot thinner, it really does feel like it'll rip as you open close it, not sure why they went with that material.- A second inner pocket on the right side would be a cool added feature.I don't regret the purchase at all for what I needed it for but really wish it was a bit longer with the double zipper to open at the bottom when you sit down and a slightly better fitting hood.

Great jacket!
Pros- outside material feels nice and repels water- battery can be charged while plugged in to the coat (turns off the coat) (I'm using a magnetic charger btw)- fits shoulders comfortably (5'8", 100lb, male)- battery can charge your other devices- jacket button is indented and clicky so it's easy to press without looking- sleeves fit well, and though the cuff isn't adjustable, it's very comfortable (the nice material on the edge really does it), and gloves should seal it offCons- battery level indicator is not bright and is on all the time while it's being used- pockets are all on the left side, and anything in your left pocket competes with the battery for space- would prefer if the battery could go in the left pocket instead of the inner pocket so you can charge your devices more easily- not many pockets, though it is a "slim fit"?- pocket that holds the battery is a thin material that makes zipping it up feel like you'll tear it. I'll just leave it open.- couldn't adjust the bottom of the jacket to get on my waistline, and front heating elements usually aren't against my chest, so a lot of heat is wasted- cabling can be felt through any of the left pockets.. if it breaks, fixing it is probably as easy as scissors and duct tape
