Super lightweight! Heats quickly!
Heats quickly, very light, and takes on a very nice patina. You have to remove the silicone paint surface with a scotchbright pad first and then it will take onan excellent stove top patina/seasoning, particularly if you use gas stove. If you want a true sauté pan where you can toss ingredients.Look no further. A terrific pan for stove top roasting peppers or charring crispy mushrooms.Lighter than French steel pans.I probably use this pan more than any other.

Super light weight cast iron pan, super smooth interior, leads to a super non-stick cooking surface.
pros: this is possibly the lightest cast iron pan on the market. has a nice shape that allows for a lot of food tossing, while still keeping it all in the pan. the pan heats up well, due to the thin and light construction, it does not keep the heat as long as a traditional heavier cast iron. the quality of construction leads to a very smooth almost mirror like finish, which allows for nearly non-stick surface. i would suggest using wooden or plastic tools to keep the finish/seasoning intact. the other good thing about this cast iron pan is that it can be used on high heat and induction as well. you can also cook on the range and then even put it in the oven, say to finish off a steak or something.cons: because this pan is made to save weight and be light, it can't compete with heat retention with a regular cast iron pan of the same size. mass equals heat retention, and this pan is super light for a cast iron pan. and being a bit super picky, i really don't like design of the handle. the handle at least to me seems to be upside-down. the handle is hollowed out to save more weight, but that hollowed part is facing up. I would have made it facing down. i think it would be more comfortable and keeps it easier to clean as well. but all in all this is a good pan looking for cast iron but lighter than most. the other option would be a carbon steel pan.

Simply the greatest, says me, a cast iron enthusiast
I've bought three so far, two as gifts. Leagues better than any other cast iron pan.First off, the handle doesn't get hot when cooking on the stove. I love this pan.How anyone could not give thisfive stars is beyond me.
