Worked as intended

I bought this mainly because i had a few 2.5in drives lying around that I wanted to be able to quickly check whats on them w/o having to power down my laptop and swap drives each time, but I also use it when I need an external backup drive for my Operating System. the quality is great, the price is very reasonable, and its extremely easy to use. swapping drives is quick and painless, there are no tools required to open it up. I use it on a Linux laptop as well as a Windows laptop and it just works on both. no drivers or other software required, just plug it in and it's ready to go. I haven't run any tests to check transfer speeds, but they are good enough for me and what I'm using the enclosure for. I would definitely keep this brand in mind next time I need an enclosure.

Needed to clone a laptop drive to a new SSD. A different product that I had that was supposed to do the same thing just died in the middle of the process. This one held up good. I like that it has a hard case for the drive and it’s semi-exposed electronics. I used a USB3 connection and it took a few hours to clone the drive, but it was a total success after many other tries. The top of the case slides on from one side to the other. It is a little too stiff but very secure — not going to slide off.
