Mediocre Sound Quality
The media could not be loaded. I love the look of this record player, its a wonderful retro design and would fit perfectly in to any classically designed rooms. The build quality is excellent, the gramophone horn is especially well made and feels sturdy. When first powered up the unit goes into Bluetooth speaker mode. It paired easily with my phone and I was playing music within seconds. Pushing the 'M' button cycles through modes, and then next mode was FM radio. I was able to easily tune in the local radio stations, but can't help but think that a DAB radio would be better. The last mode is the record player. Large and small records fit easily on the turn table and there are 2 speeds available from the switch on the front - 33 or 45. There is a rest for the needle when not in use.The sound comes out of the 2 speakers on the side and from the gramophone horn at the top. The sound quality was okay but average at best, not as good as other Bluetooth speakers on the market.Overall I'm impressed with the look and build quality of the unit but if you are looking for superior sound output I would not recommend.

Looks good, but expensive
This is an amazing looking gramophone that isn't just an ornament. The gramophone plays albums and singles, has two-speed settings of 33 or 45 rpm. It also has a radio and a Bluetooth connection. The record player works a treat and there is a speaker on either side of the main body and also the funnel projects the sound as well. The sound is nice, I would prefer a little more bass but that is just a personal choice. This is easy to link up with my iPhone via the phone Bluetooth setting. But if I am being honest I would probably other devices to listen to a radio station or music as the sound quality on my other devices have more options and graphic equalisers, this gramophone doesn't.As you can guess I am using this just for my vinyl records, I do love the look and sound that they give and while it doesn't have a massive speaker or sound system it is ideal for small rooms. There is also a voice that tells you what mode you have this set up on - and while this is handy to know when you are connected I do think it is unnecessary. I would prefer to either use the buttons on the gramophone or use the remote to select what I need, after all, there are only three choices, Bluetooth, radio, player! The remote with this is good, and it is handy for adjusting the volume or changing to a different feature when an album has finished. But, as there is no automatic return for the stylus when a record has finished you still have to get up.While this looks great and it does a wonderful job with records, the radio is only an FM one which was a little disappointing given the high price tag. I did expect a DAB radio.I do love the look of this gramophone, it is useful as well as looking great. However, I do think the price tag is a bit on the expensive side. The quality of the wooden unit is really nicely finished, and the gramophone is a nice touch and it can be moved around to direct the sound. While I absolutely adore the look of this, I am also a little disappointed in some ways. The craftsmanship is great, the slightly limited features not so much, the sound quality is ok and the price tag is also too much. I hope this review helps.

Attractive, Stylish, Retro Gramophone With USB, Bluetooth & FM Connectivity
The media could not be loaded. The Eikosch retro gramophone boasts 2 x 30 watt stereo speakers with the metal gramophone horn acting as a 1 x 10 watt tweeter. With the ‘old style’ sound horn and the eye-catching wooden base, the player pulls the retro look off perfectly. This is not just an entertainment centre; it’s an attractive piece of furniture which will enhance any room. Although the player comes complete with a remote control so that your favourite music is always at your fingertips, there’s a lovely front panel with push button controls and LED where it can also be adjusted. There’s no question that this a very busy ‘sound centre’ as they used to be known back in my day, with a choice of two gramophone playing speeds, 33 or 45 rpm, catering for both albums and singles. Trying both mediums I was rather impressed with the reproduction given that this is vinyl we’re talking about. Don’t get me wrong, this is no Linn Sondek, but it gives a fair account of itself both in terms of quality and volume. The ceramic cartridge has a ruby stylus. To add to this, the retro gramophone has a USB port through which you can play any music that you might have on a memory stick/flash drive, and although the information regarding the upper limit on the size of drive compatible with the player states 32 Gb, I was using a 64 Gb drive which seems to work flawlessly? The player will happily work with formats of MP3, WAV files or FLAC, Flac files or Free Lossless Audio Codec files offer bit-perfect copies of CD’s but at half the size.Next up on the list of playable mediums for the retro player is the Bluetooth connection. It took me less than 30 seconds to pair the player up with my Galaxy S9 mobile phone allowing me to access 1,000’s of tracks through my music manager under the complete control of my smart phone. When in the process of pairing your device with the retro gramophone, you should look for the connection code VS1723 on your smartphone or pad. There is also an FM radio which can be tuned between frequencies ranging from 76 to 108 MHz. An FM antenna is available at the rear of the machine. A 3.5 mm auxiliary cable is included in the pack giving you the freedom to connect other devices which might be compatible with the retro player. In summary, this is a gorgeous looking piece of kit which is multi-functional in its delivery of music. The audio reproduction, although not up there with the best, gives a fair account of itself both in quality and volume. However, for as much as I love this product and what it can do for my musical pleasure, I believe the unit to be overpriced, hence the removal of one star.
