Nice for drawing, layout purposes. Has adequate resistance for that kind of use - not too soft, not too hard. For painting, layering etc, may not be better suited than softer brands of OP. Again, that we are getting 10 pieces of black sticks in a box, might just be suitable for painting large, dark backgrounds. I'm happy.
