Purchased this flatware for my mother for her birthday. She loved it. If you purchase one and want it in a flatware chest, purchase the one that shows the flatware in the chest. Otherwise you'll get all the flatware in a shipping box wrapped in bubble wrap.

I am not certain why this set was given 5 stars. The knives are proportioned as normal size, the regular forks are proportioned as normal size, however, the other pieces are abnormally proportioned. The "desert spoons" are extremely small, reminds me of what you would see in a young girl's tea party set. The salad forks are small compared to other salad forks. The large spoon is so oversized that a person would have to have a very large mouth to use it and is certainly not a comfortable fit into the mouth at that. I feel that the bonus pieces are ones that are not used on a regular basis. As far as the quality, a couple pieces had scratch marks on them even though they were wrapped individually. The stainless is not as I expected after being an Oneida customer for many years. I am very disappointed and in a time crunch to get another every day flatware set, so I am hoping between World Gifts and Amazon that they make this right for me in a hurry so that I can go to a department store and make a purchase.
