Ruth (Brides of the West)

A truly sweet book can’t wait to start the next one in this series. God has a plan for all the girls.

I have recently been introduced to Lori Copeland's Christian books. Her stories of the Kallahan Sister's as "Mail Order Brides": Faith, June & Hope are the beginning of this series.I have read 6 books so far, and just ordered 2 more.She writes stories that show how God works when we are confused or lost, and how important seeking & following His will is.I will continue to read Lori Copeland Books. Ms. Copeland's books are they type you hate to put down. I usually finish one book in 3-5 days. I will miss a TV show to read!Ruth is part of a different "series", but is also about mail order brides, and all these stories take place in the LATE 1800's.

While the story line in general was good I have a hard time believing anyone could write this book and not have the basic understanding that a woman without a uterus who happens across a 7 month old baby on a trail and tries to "nurse" it has nothing to nurse it with. The fact that not only the author wrote this but no editor caught and changed the fact that there are no "fluids" to satiate and infant from the breat of a woman who hasn't had a baby recently. This is basic biology and really killed the book for me early on. This followed up the fact that in 1873 they didn't have bride and groom figures on cakes nor did they celebrate weddings in the same manner that we did. I wasn't as bothered by that until the nursing tidbit 🤦‍♀️

Good book. Good company to buy from.

A good plot and lots of action - a real suspenseful love story with a surprise ending.

Lovely story, really enjoyed reading it, especially enjoyed the way the Ruth' s relationship with the Lord was carried throughout the complete book. As is true with the authors other Bride series!

Loved this book. Be sure to read the books in order of the series though. I read Glory first and fell in love with all the characters, making this book even better.

If you like western or historical novels, this is a very good one. I enjoy reading Lori Copelands books anyway.
