A good challenge
These puzzles aren’t the easiest to put together but provided a nice challenge. I actually put together puzzles of all four seasons. Start by putting together the border, then put together the “Spring”, followed by areas with lots of color. Find any pieces with writing on them and place them about where they fit, then fill in! Beautiful picture.

This was a fun and interesting puzzle to put together.
First, it should be noted that this puzzle is random-cut puzzle. The majority of puzzles are ribbon cut, which results in a grid like structure with just six shapes of pieces:1. four tabs2. three tabs and a blank3. two tabs and two tabs with tabs and blanks each on one axis. This the most common jigsaw piece shape and i sometimes called a "H" piece4. two tabs and two blank with each axis having one tab and one blank5. three blanks and a tab6. four blanks.A random cut puzzle can have special pieces such as the ten examples shown here from this puzzle. However these types of pieces represent only a small part of the whole set, with lots of the main six shapes of piece. The other difference with random-cut puzzles is that while ribbon-cut puzzles generally have the joints between the pieces in a grid, the joints in random-cut puzzles are often staggered as in this puzzle. This gives the designers greater freedom to vary the piece size and shape. Some prefer ribbon-cut puzzles and some prefer random-cut ones. The variety of piece shape in random-cut puzzles means that there is less risk of misfits. However good quality ribbon-cut puzzles can achieve the same result by variations in both the piece shape and the connector geometry. However, Cobble Hill have done a good job with the random-cut and the puzzle was a joy to assemble. This puzzle was a joy to assemble. High quality, almost no puzzle dust, and a wonderful illustration based on Edith Holden 1906 nature notebook, which was only published in 1976, more than fifty years after her death. Each of the text snippets, butterflies, birds, and other features provides a focus for building part of the puzzle and this is what makes it interesting. This is an excellent illustration in a high quality package. Definitely a five star puzzle. I have already purchased the other three seasons, and I am more than happy with this decision. Full marks to Cobble Hill for this superb puzzle.

Great Puzzle
I loved the blend of the artistic with the intellectual. I learned a lot about the names of flowers and butterflies and it was. a challenge. The pieces were varied and interesting. I also like the pastel colours. All in all, it was a great experience. I like Cobble HIll Puzzles and this one was lovely.
