This time I wanted to buy a stabilizer similar to what a Glidecam would be like, but not have to spend 500 dollars
I work professionally as a video producer. On the side of that I do wedding videos, music videos, and hunting videos. I've wanted a stabilizer for a long time. I bought one about 8 months before buying this one and it was a total bust. This time I wanted to buy a stabilizer similar to what a Glidecam would be like, but not have to spend 500 dollars. Anytime I found a stabilizer that wasn't that much it was so small that it couldn't fulfill my rig desires (I shoot on a A7s, but also on bigger cameras such as the RED Dragon) I finally found the Robin Pro 40. What caught my eye was the price. I was skeptical because it said it can hold up to 15 pounds and wasn't over 500+ dollars! There were some reviews on B&H that I found helpful. I watched a few tutorials on balancing the rig and decided for just over 200 dollars I could at least give it a shot. I am so impressed! In my opinion it is just as good as a Glidecam. It is built with very high quality (no plastic), comes with a carrying case, relatively easy to balance (if you have balanced stabilizers before) and is way easier to fine tune any micro adjustments that need to be made when balancing the rig. If you're thinking of buying a stabilizer similar to a Glidecam and don't want to spend 500 dollars, or more, I highly recommend this stabilizer!
