Beautiful solid poplar wood unfinished
I sincerely thank KD frames for their Excellent product. Beautiful poplar, nice thick pieces of solid wood, easy to assemble, fit together perfectly, uniformly cut, I bought a full size frame and the 2 drawer set, the bed frame has ample storage room under the bed and the drawers are Huge, I was skeptical about the drawers rolling on the floor, but the rollers are well built and smooth. I see a big bright future for KD frames, keep up the good work ! Youโre on my All Time Favorite List !

Incredibly sturdy, hold a ton, but be aware - the drawer bottom is slatted and not solid!!
I am a fan of these underbed drawers, which work nicely with the KD Frames bed frames. I have a Full sized frame, and fit one one of these on each side of it, south of the nightstands. There was still room for a third-party (lower height) drawer at the foot of the bed, which is a flimsy piece of c**p compared to these. However, I donโt think the product info does a good job of showing how they are actually constructed โ like a tiny bed frame (see pictures) with open slats. If you are trying to store smaller items, this could pose a problem. I put a HDF insert into one, and use it for shoes. You might get away with using a large piece of cardboard. These drawers really hold a lot compared to the more common 6โ high ones. They donโt waste storage space using large swivel casters, as I have seen on other freely rolling underbed drawers (and which you donโt really want for something that is supposed to roll straight out and back). I have about 9 pairs of boots and clogs in one. The other one holds my winter duvet, a sheet set, and two blankets. Iโm giving them 5 stars despite the lack of a solid bottom because theyโre so sturdy and capacious.

Nice set of drawers if they are what you need.
Love the drawers. They match the bed (Twin Size Charleston Platform Bed Frame - Solid Hardwood ) perfectly. One thing we didn't think about but that we love, is that our son has told us that there can't be any monster under his bed, because with the drawers there, there isn't room. I don't know that I agree, but it helps him sleep and night, so I appreciate that. The rollers work great. We have new carpet in the room, so we were a little worried that the wheels would snag or catch, but they don't at all. They are nice. The size is deceptively large. Almost too large for a toddler. We started putting underware and pj's in the drawers, and they work fine, but since there is no compartmentalization, all the things go in one big pile. That may not be a problem for some bulkier items, but when we only have a few pairs of pj's and a couple of packs of underware I'm not sure we're using the space most effectively. One other note is the slatted bottom. When we stored small articles of clothing in the drawers, they would tend to fall through those slats. I simply measured my completed drawers, went to Lowe's and picked up a couple pieces of thin plywood, had them cut the wood to size, came home, sanded it and put them in. I think it is a preference thing about whether you want a solid or slatted bottom, and I understand why they make them slatted, but you may want to consider what you'll be storing in them when they are installed. These obviously need to be assembled, and the assembly could not be easier. It comes with bolts, an allen wrench and some great instructions. The pieces are all clearly identifiable, and well sanded. If you want to finish them, you probably want to do so before you assemble, but the choice is up to you. We left them unfinished.

Match Charleston Platform bed frame - excellent storage!
I bought these storage drawers when I purchased the matching "Charleston Platform Bed". That frame sits a full 12" off the floor (measure your current frame - I'll bet it's only 6-8" off the floor!); these drawers are 10" deep & designed to fit underneath that bed. They're much deeper than the cheap plastic bins I'd been using, so the 2 drawers held all the clothing I had in 4 of the plastic storage bins. Because these drawers are solid tulip poplar wood they're heavy, but the wheels which come with them move smoothly, even over my deep-pile carpet. I haven't had any issues with clothing poking-out through the slats on the bottom & preventing the drawers from sliding (I'm storing bulky wool sweaters & fleece tunics/jackets in them right now), but if you're putting smaller items in them (socks, toys, underwear) you'd probably want to place a sheet of cardboard or stiff plastic shelf liner over the slats. I've put together many pieces of furniture over the years - these drawers were VERY simple to put together, with excellent directions. They look very nice when you come into my bedroom & see underneath the bed, since they 'match' the frame. The 2-drawer set fits beneath my full-sized frame perfectly. I highly recommend buying these drawers when you buy the matching frame.

These are top notch and so is the company
I am going to start with the 1 challenge to these drawers - you have no solid bottom. So, you have to make your own and this is the only slight detractor. With that out of the way, let's dig in. First I have ordered two sets of these now. The first set came and were very well made, easy to assemble, and basically perfect for the task. The second set came and I had an issue. One of the front/back pieces had no pilot holes drilled on one of the sides. I couldn't assemble the drawer. Now this was the second drawer I was assembling and the other was all put together. I thought "Crap, now I am going to have to disassemble the drawer and send them both back." Before I did that, I emailed the customer service. I attached a picture of the drawer front/back problem and my invoice from Amazon. Within 24 hours I had not only an email response with an apology and a simple mistakes happen, which is fine, but also a tracking number for the part they were shipping out to me. It arrived in a reasonable time and I will do more business with this company again.

Very well made, excellent value.
We bought 2 sets of these drawers to go under the platform bed from the same manufacturer. These drawers are very well made. The fit and finish is excellent. They are easy to assemble. They fit perfectly under the bed and the rollers are really good and roll well on carpet. This company has thought out every aspect of their product from packaging to assembly. The wood is very nice, excellent finish and ready to be painted, stained, waxed, or left natural. As former woodworkers, these drawers are outstanding. I highly recommend the drawers and would buy them again. I don't think you could find a more well made drawer.

nice for extra storage
bought these to go under the twin platform bed i bought by same manufacturer. I have THICK plush carpeting, and it rolls out fine. over time, and if the drawers were full (right now they are empty other than a light amount of spare sheets), maybe it would harder to pull them out (they dont really "roll" as such on the carpet, but the rollers do make it easier to pull out). easy to put together. they are quite heavy. smooth, non-splintering wood. i used chalk paint to finish them (for those wanting to use chalk paint, i DO suggest doing a pre-sealant of some sort. i used a light coat of varnish, per chalk paint instructions, and could of used a heavier coat, as i needed 2 coats of chalk to get coverage. wood is porous and soaks it in). the bottom are slats, as others have mentioned. for clothes, bedding, that doesnt matter. i got them more as storage for grandson's toys when they come over.. but smaller items will slip thru bottom. easily solved by putting some sort of liner/cardboard on bottom of drawer. all 4 sides are solid.

great product if your willing to make some adjustments
Deeper than any other drawer on the market! The quality is evident and the ease of putting it together was an added bonus. The only reason I couldn't give the drawers 5 stars was the 3 different modifications I had to make. The wheels that come with are wooden and only allow the drawers to move forward and back. When the large, deep drawers are full they are heavy and getting them in the exact spot they need to be under the bed, so they stay flush with the bed frame, is next to impossible with only a back and forth motion and not a little side to side wiggle room. I went and bought cheap swivel (1 & 1/2") casters from my local hardware store and simply screwed them on right to the underside of the bottom planks/ slats. Now they are easy to move! I also didn't care for the way the bottoms were open slats preventing me from storing smaller items that would fall through. So while at said hardware store, I bought some cheap, thin, hard board and cut it down to size and simply dropped it in the bottom with the durable heavy hardwood slats for support this is fine...but this can only be done if you are replacing the wheels as I did because the wooden wheels that come with the drawers are actually higher than the slats. I guess that why the bottoms are slats to begin with? This of course raised the height of the drawers and the clearance for under the bed was off by a 1/4 of an inch that was solved with the last fix of simple rubber pads that go under furniture (again easily purchased at any hardware store) these placed under the platform bed frame raised it exactly where it needed to be. With an additional need for items (about $20 a set of drawers) and time, (about an hour, or two if you count going to the hardware store) and a little bit of 'elbow grease' (not much as I not that handy with tools and I did all of this myself)these drawers are great. With the 3 steps listed, a must for me, I still ordered 3 more sets of these drawers as I felt the quality and usefulness was well worth the effort! These are the only 10" deep drawers I could find on the market anywhere! All others are 5". The amount of storage capabilities makes these drawers worth twice what they are sold for. Not to mention the solid quality of them, they will probably out live me! These drawers are a wise investment & money well spent.
