JL Safety Suction Cup Holder for Old and NEW 2012/2013 EZ Pass and I Pass & FasTrak Transponders

A quick search on Amazon led me to this product. My thoughts after using this product for the last 3 months...Pro’s: Item works as described, Inexpensive, well made, easy to install/remove, suction cup feels secure. No issues even after 2 months of 100+ degree weather.Con’s: None at this time.Bottom Line: Very pleased with this purchase & would not hesitate to purchase again. If that changes I will update this review accordingly

The EZ-PassPort holder is well made and works great. It sticks to the windshield very well. I haven't tried for long term as in weeks or months but it's a suction cup and I don't expect it to stay up forever. You can use it upside down with the opening facing down and it is very secure in holding the E-ZPass in place. My E-ZPass is the new version from MD and the label is upside down from the picture so I wasn't sure how the signal is sent from my transponder so I have it mounted with the label right side up and the holder's opening faces down. I ordered it on a Sunday and it arrived on Wednesday.

Having had less than great long-time success with Velcro strips to attach the EZ-Pass to the windshield when the glue deteriorated and the unit kept falling off the windshield, I decided to give this suction cup holder a try.I put a light film of olive oil on the suction cup to help with the seal of the cup and attached it to the windshield. It worked wonderfully well, even while out in the hot sun during Maryland heat and humidity, at least so far. What remains to be seen is how long the suction cup will hold up when exposed to heat and UV radiation. Plastics, especially flexible plastic like that used in the suction cup, tend to become brittle and suffer small cracks when exposed to UV over a period of time.Having said that, I do anticipate this suction cup giving good service for several years. Should it start to fail, it can easily be replaced by one found in many craft stores or even glued back in place to extend its service.All in all, it is a great improvement over the Velcro attachment and I highly recommend it.

Wish I had used this when I first purchased my California FasTrak! I had been struggling with the adhesive material on my FasTrak and in the Hot Summer days it would just fall off. But with this product I no longer have that problem! Note: I was able to fit my California FasTrak and it holds it well but it is apparent that it is not made for California FasTrak as it does not snap into place as the instructions suggest would happen. Regardless - it does manage to hold it securely enough and I no longer have to worry about sticky residue left on my windshield.
