This thing goes outside with us multiple times a day/night. It is so convenient having the poop bags with us anytime we go out. The flashlight is really handy too. We use the flashlight a lot. The only problem we have is that when we change the bag roll out sometimes the roll (if it’s not centered properly) can knock the latch off the battery and send them flying out. This is why I marked off for durability. This has happened mostly indoors thankfully, but one night we had to dig around in the grass after dark to get them. Also it takes 3 1.5V batteries which comes in the flashlight. This is a pack of two product I believe (or I ordered two lol), the first flashlights batteries died after a week or two but the other one has been fine for about a month.

First thoughts:I didn't want to spend a ton of money on a dooty bag carrier. I looked and saw two for the same price as other products and thought I would give it a try. For the most part, it works great. My dog got a hold of it a few times and it escaped without a mark. She likes to try to pull the bags out and unroll them, which is why we bought this. It does a decent job of preventing her from doing that. The flashlight is great, which is an extra feature my wife likes. I never have to worry about forgetting the bags again when we go out.The only issue that I have is the threads are a little weak. I have to be careful when screwing the two halves together to get it just right so it will stay together. Once its screwed together it's fine. It just takes a bit of work. Also, my wife came home from a walk one frustrating day and dropped the leash it was attached to. It popped apart into two pieces. That is the only time it came apart like that. Other than that, its awesome.Final thoughts:Do NOT get this product! I put the leash on my dog and we're walking around the house looking for where I put the keys. That's when I notice the bags on the floor. The top came off again. I didn't drop it. Why did it fall off! This time the batteries came out. I found ONE of three. Where are the other two? Nowhere to be found. Crap! That's what the dog was sniffing around on the floor at. %&^%$! Another vet trip. And this one is going to cost some money.

My dog insists on taking a walk at 9-10pm every night. I hate it because I was always look for her poop and the darkness didn't help. I tried taking a separate flash light with me and it was fine but as everyone knows, women's clothing has no pockets so I'm juggling a flash light, her bags, and her leash. This item solved two of the problems. The bags are in the sturdy keeper and it has a flash light built in. I was able to use the carabiner that it came with to clip it to my leash so one hand is free when I need it. Especially in the dark, walking my neighborhood. 10/10 will buy again if I need to. But you get two and the battery for the flash light is replaceable so I don't foresee myself buying any more any time soon.

First holder of the set of two I used broke on the second walk.. My dog got spooked on the sidewalk from something and pulled me a bit, and the darker top part with the LED just slid off and the glass part within the housing for the LED broke.. these things feel like the top only makes one full turn on the threads and then stops, and it's very easily for it to start coming undone apparently. This first holder was not repairable from the damage of dropping from 3-4 feet in the air.So I thought maybe this one was a defect and hopped for more from the other one in the set but NOPE. Still screwed on only one full turn and came off easily. This time, fault was on me and I accidentally dropped the leash and bag holder on concrete and THE THING CAME APART AGAIN.. screwed it back on and after about 15 minutes of the bag moving around normally on our walk and bouncing off my leg at times.. it unscrewed itself and came apart.Both of these things broke within 4 days and 6 walks with my golden.. just buy a normal one without an LED

It’s easy to get bags out of the holder and to refill, plus the flashlight is useful. The problem came when the battery cover popped off because the bag roll hit the tab. Both the cover and one of the button cell batteries disappeared in the dark as I walked my dog, so now I’m back to using my phone flashlight when I use that leash. Perhaps a better design would be to have a small screw holding the cover in place.
