Yum!
First time curing bacon and what a success it was! Super easy to do (just need a bit of patience to wait for it to cure) and fantastic results! Can't see me ever buying the inferior bacon that is available in the shops ever again.

Beware of under weight product !!
The product was delivered under weight..Should have been 200g but was delivered with only 150g of product in the pack !!

I couldn’t believe it was so easy!
I was encouraged by a friend to try making some bacon.I bought this curing salt for my first attempt, and easily made bacon which tastes wonderful and does not shrivel up to nought when cooked.It really is simple to use, and well worth the effort of waiting a week to sample your work.

Not smokey enough
OK the product worked very well using the 40gm per kilo of pork ratio but it just wasn't anywhere near smokey enough. In fact we could hardly say it tasted smokey at all. However, it was lovely to see 'no white watery gunge' come out of the bacon when frying, just like real bacon should be. Add more smokiness and I may change the rating.

Works well, but a rather salty batch of bacon at the end
Certainly cured a chunk of belly pork into bacon but the final result was rather salty. Also I couldn't detect any smokey flavour. But does the job. There are probably other cures out there that will give better results than this.
