Not the quality
It's been a lot of years since last bought Rotring daughtmens products, but when I bought their products they were well built and you knew you would use them every day for years, so long as you took care and serviced them. These pencils while they appear to work perfectly, have a cheap plastic, disposable feel to them. I wish I'd invested a bit more in Faber-Castell, or just bought a Pentle. My old Pentle (approx 15 years old) feels better than these. But saying that they appear well designed, I just don't like the casing materials. After using these pencils for a couple of days, I can now say they are RUBBISH, complete and utter waste. I tried HB leads in them and they just kept on breaking with just the lightest of side pressure. Put the exact same leads in my old Pentle, and perfect. Even pressing much harder than I would normally do the leads worked great. Conclusion.... I was correct in my original thoughts that they were cheap and useless. The fault I believe is in the design of the extending / retracting metal lead tube at the tip of the pencil, it has too much play. RUBBISH design / manufacturing. Last time Rotring get any of my cash.

Don’t waste your money
The pencils stopped working the same day of use. The mechanical mechanism stopped preforming The lead also keeps breaking in to small sections.Never happens with pentel pencils.

Back to school
Started studying again and these mechanical pencils are a great motivation for me. I love the vivid colours and ergonomics.

Lead breaks
The pencil seems to be ok and the lead is fine when used in another type of pencil, but in these the lead breaks very easily, which is unusual for HB. Suspect issue is with the retractable nib/lead holder.
