Endlessly boring
I love apocalyptic stories, however, this book just doesn't pique my interest. I'm almost halfway through but can't warm to any of the characters. There is no character development, and what I perceive as a narcissistic focus on Fiona's neuro-diverse traits. There is inclusivity which is great but needs to be relayed in a non-nauseating context to empathise with the characters.

A Really Gripping Story with an End I didn’t see Coming!
Grace Hamilton and Riley Miller write in a very imaginative way. This book has, amongst others, a whinging teenager and an oily park ranger to add extra dimensions to the story. The endless snow and bitter weather provide the framework from which the characters can develop. As with other books by this author, there are elements of cosy preparedness which act as the lure to keep the characters pressing forward facing very real danger as they strive to reach that safety. An excellent read with plenty of adventure and cosy safety to be had! Highly recommended.

Great Read
Really good story. Fast paced and full of suspense .Following Fiona and her group as they try to escape the arctic winter . With a stalker to deal with and then a crazy cult it's definitely a book well worth reading.

survival of the fittest
I enjoyed reading this book which turned out to be a page turner. I was irritated be some character traits and heard myself telling them to stop being wimps. What I liked about the book was that there is strength in numbers, but mostly, the fact that that our own self-doubt can make us stronger than we think we are. Sincerely though, I hope we never have to face such an apocalyptic state as this.

Long drawn story
800 pages of same old stuff....no meat in story as to how the ice age came about and too much waffle about what she/he thinks...and ending was a let down. I wont be buying another of this authors books

Fun apocalyptic saga
Nice length, good characterisation, very enjoyable storyline. Fair ending. Well worth the money. I would read more by this author, and I would have preferred a longer story though. Look forward to more from this author.
