I'm impressed! [Or, was] Now, cautiously optomistic
Of the available several versions (band, GMT function, date window) of this GPW diver's watch, I chose this one for the GMT and for the Arctos signed strap that didn't have unsightly (to me) waves in it. I just received the watch today, and was impressed with:1- The speed of shipping. Fast!2- The watch was already set with the exact time in my time zone.3- The indices on the bezel insert are perfectly lined up with the hour markers on the dial.4- The second hand was also perfectly aligned with the dial's hour markers. Misalignment wouldn't have been a deal breaker at this price-point, but it's nice to see.5- The excellent fit and finish of the case, bezel and dial.I expect it to keep good time, and will update if there are issues.UPDATE: 9/5/16The watch leaked during a casual swim in the pool over the weekend. Not good for a diver's watch marked with a 20 bar water resistance rating!Assuming this was a one-off I have adjusted my own rating and have messaged the seller for return info for repair or replacement. Again, I will update.UPDATE 9/8Seller immediately replaced the watch, e-mailing me a return label so I'm only out the 5 minutes to drop it off at the Post Office. Very impressed with the customer service. And while I hesitate to jump in a pool with the new one so soon, I'm sure I will eventually. I'll update again.UPDATE 4/7After more than six months of regular use, the replacement watch is tight and dry. It has survived swimming in pools, lakes and two oceans. It's a good looking watch and a good performance value.

Top-Level Features, Entry-Level Pricing
I got this watch for the titanium case and the sapphire crystal. It's quite a bit larger than the 60s to 80s-vintage Waltham dive automatics that I usually wear, but it's so lightweight due the titanium I hardly notice that. Everything clicks into position cleanly (bezel, set points on the crown), and it's been holding time beautifully. I saw some folks complaining about the lume; it's OK, it can be read easily in low-light conditions. If you want super-glowy radioactive stuff I'd recommend looking more at Russian stuff and less at German. The only issue (and it is minor) I've had with it is that the indices don't really give much for orientation- the twelve is a double-bar, the other positions dots or single bars. The two wheels are fairly inconspicuous as well. I've absent-mindedly put it on upside-down more than once, mostly due I think due to flaking out with the NATO strap. The military time wheel is interesting complication, and less useful to me than a day wheel would be, but this is a military watch and I'm not the target consumer. It's a beautiful piece of hardware at a very approachable price. Although I can't verify the water-proof level of the watch against the claims (it does have a screw seal on the crown), I can recommend based on what I have seen with no reservations.

LOVE this watch!!!
Out of the 4-5 different versions ( bands, MIL time window/no Mil window etc...) I chose the one that came w/leather German Military "Bund" strap & Mil-time window. This was my 1st time shopping for a quality, military style watch. After searching & researching the web for a true military watch, or at least one most soldiers/Marine's buy for deployments. I found a few that I loved & have been battle proven, some that were even actually issued during WWll era (being my budget was tapped out @ around $300 these were out of the question) then just as I was about to pop for the 5.11 titanium sniper (I was a designated marksman & held a sniper billet during my 1st tour to Iraq in '04 so this was very appealing & still want one) I came across the arctos/GPW military here. After reading every review on here (probably about 10 total) mostly positive, then going over the watches specs & researching what it all meant, for $199.00, it was a no brainer. The 5.11 was $100+ more than the GPW & didn't have any of the quality aspects this watch offers, all titanium case including the rotating bezel (rotates one direction w/solid loud metallic clicks) sapphire crystal, 20bar/660ft water resistance, military time window, luminous hands/markers (which i prefer over tritium), swiss movement assembled by Arctos/GPW in Germany, date window, screw down crown that is extremely easy to use when changing date/time. With all that said iv owned the watch for a couple months now & wear it every day & couldn't be happier, it is fairly large but not over the top gaudy by any means & being the full titanium casing it is very light to the point I forget I have it on. The lum works good, if charged all day it will stay lit till bout 2am, coming from a Marine background, I prefer a quick charge w/a light behind cover so I can read watch for a few mins as opposed to tritium that is nothing more than a bright target indicator. As for the strap, I was a little apprehensive being no one had commented on this strap, but I am very pleased w/it. I have fairly large wrists & it fits great using the middle hole. It is quality construction & I believe is genuine un-issued German military because it is serialized & reads "BUND" on back side. Packaging was outstanding, the box was similar to something expensive jewelry comes in, came with a cert matching your name to the serial # on the watch ( which.I thought was a cool touch). Bottom line is the watch is everything I was looking for & exceeded my expectations & the fact that this watch was produced in such high #s (why this watch that has aspects that come on watches starting @ $500 can be sold for $200) because it will be issued to a new unit that is being formed in the German military makes it that much cooler. Get em while u can. SEMPER FIDELIS

Nice watch somewhat spoiled by sloppy movement
I am generally happy with this watch, and it would have received a higher rating if it was not for the slop present in the movement. When setting the time (hands or GMT window) there seems to be a significant dead-zone where a movement of the crown does not directly result in a movement of the hands. This is not something I have experienced in other watches. When the crown is pushed in after making an adjustment, the hands have a tendency to jump 1-2 minutes in either direction. This makes setting the time precisely (especially the GMT time) frustratingly difficult.
