This little kitchen fits perfectly in our small townhouse apartment! My son plays with it all the time and really loves the washing machine feature. The only complaint I have is that the directions are not very clear. Make sure you leave yourself plenty of time to set this up I would not recommend doing this late at night. It will take at least 45-1 hour to set up! Definitely a good purchase over all!!

So much packed into a smaller size footprint- this will engage your tot on so many levels..Bc of size, it’s perfect for any with minimal space such as an apartment, playroom, placed in a childs bedroom in a corner! Not too deep to protrude into ones living space.. And the lower height is ideal for younger/shorter littles- they can easily reach almost if not every level. Note: placed on raised sturdy platform- this set can be enjoyed as a little one grows taller.. making it perfect for years to come!!Perks are plenty! Truly not a single ounce of space is wasted. Knobs spin 360° and click-click as they do! AAA batteries add light to specified spots (oven hood, range, microwave) simulated cooking sounds at a push of a button.. Details are to die for! Tiny doors with peep windows- all impressive. Matted colors are unisex, combo of included options keeps child rotating thru each little niché- while holding interest.Add-ons are welcome! Our velcro/wooden food set is ideal with this..cook, wash in the sink, nuke, oven bake! HACK: A few wash clothes makes the perfect laundry. Easy for littles to place in/out of dryer and even learn to fold. Love recycle feature- Teaching kids but, enjoy sliding items into slots.. kids just love little quirks like this!As for the build: tricky! LOTS of detail connections to do! READ step by step- you’ll thank me later! Far easier with a buddy x1 holds in place- x1 is the tool wizard! The Kitchen is lovely to look at and does fit well in a small space. Unfortunately, the quality does not hold up to the playfulness of kids. The oven door came off the hinges within a month of use. Also, the paint is starting to wear off as well. I would look around a bit more before settling on this item.

The Giant Bean Pretend Play Kitchen is a fun, adorable item once assembled, but it took a retired engineer about two hours to assemble. (I would say 2.5 hours, but the two year old assisting for a half hour was much more hinderance than help). The instructions contain tiny diagrams that are hard to see and there are no written instructions. The kitchen requires 6 AAA batteries, which are not provided. All the necessary parts for assembly were included in the box.The kitchen does not take up a lot of space, but has a lot of fun features. It is a very interactive toy. The vent has lights that turn on and it makes a fan noise. The microwave has a light. The burners also light up and make 2 different noises. There are also knobs that turn for the burners and washing machine. The kitchen seems relatively sturdy, but must be up against a wall because it would be easy to flip. Once assembled, my two year old was very excited about his new kitchen and began playing with it immediately. The oven, washing machine, and microwave are all large enough to fit my son’s cars and fire truck. It has kept his exclusive attention for almost a half hour already. I think he will really enjoy playing in his new kitchen.

***update. I’ve had this for a year and it is falling apart. The oven door fell off because a small piece of wood holding it together fell off. The whole top half did the same. See photos. We’ve tried to glue and fix it but it’s just crumbling apart. I expected this kitchen to last us throughout the years with my toddler and baby.I love the features of this kitchen. So great for the price and I found it easy to put together. Took about an hour with a toddler ‘helping’ me. Also looks so much more stylish than others I have looked at for this price.

The quality of this kitchen set is really inferior. The wood backing of the kitchen set and interior of the oven turned mouldy. I have no such mould issues with the rest of my wooden furnitures or bookshelves. I’ve to clean it every other day & yet the mould still keeps appearing.
