Excellent case for my Surface Pro 8 to use it as aTablet
It fits very well. I liked the back strap for holding the Surface pro 8. It's thick in dimension but it should be like this to accommodate that strap and for better protection of the device. The bottom part is a bit shaky, moves if it press it outwards. It probably happened because they made it lighter and thinner than other parts to give enough room for the Surface Keyboard to fit in.It allows full swing of the original kickstand but you can open it only from one side (left side if you are facing the device). No problem in accessing any of the ports including the longer port for charging. It has enough openings at the top and also top of both sides for cooling, so cooling is expected to work as good as without the case..I am attaching some pictures from various angle for helping other potential buyers. Overall very good experience. Nice sturdy feeling. I am loving the device to hold in my hands more than before. The tablet mode is ON.

Finally a decent case
I wouldn't think it would be that difficult to make a decent protective case for a tablet but I guess it is. I took a chance on this MoKo case and found it is almost perfect.PROS:>Plasticized/rubberized edges and corners offer great protection for your Surface Pro 8 investment. Although I keep the Surface in a padded laptop bag and throw the bag around often, everything has held up well. I have not dropped the Surface with just the case on yet.>The back of the case allows access to the standard rear camera and Surface's built-in stand. A well-thought-out notch is cut into the case to make it easier to open the stand.>The top right corner of the case has a silicone retainer loop to hold the keyboard cover closed. There is also a shallow notch cut into the top of the case that makes it easier to open the keyboard cover. The top of the case has plenty of slots for ventilation.>The I/O access ports and charging port are well-protected from bumps but easily accessible for cables, cards, etc. The grooves cut into the charging port access provide short channels for the parallel-docking charging cable which can route the cable either up or down depending on your use preference.>The case has rubber/silicone covering the volume and power buttons but they are still very tactile, responsive, and easy to press. The corners of the case stick out far enough to keep the buttons from being pressed should the Surface be placed on its side.CONS:>The silicone retainer loop will sometimes slide back into default position but the magnetic keyboard cover still keeps it closed so there is really no issue.>It can be a slightly finicky to get the charger to dock with the charging port but I relate this to a very precise cut in the case for the slot. Once the cable is connected, there is really no issue.>Once the stand is open, the case offers no protection to the stand itself should the Surface fall.>The case is very lightweight but when the Surface is closed, the case creates almost three times the thickness/bulk of the Surface without the case. A small price to pay for extra protection in my opinion.Overall, I would highly recommend this case. It seems high quality and very well-designed. I will be looking at MoKo for more of my case needs in the future.

Good protection, poor hand strap
I like the product and it serves its purpose for protection but the hand strap is too tight! What kind of hand fits in there?!All of the plugs fit well with the case on.

A must for portrait-mode use of your Surface Pro 8
I recently upgraded my Surface Pro 4 to a Surface Pro 8 to take advantage of the larger screen, the faster processor, USB-C, and Windows 11. I use the device primarily for music performance - as a sheet music reader. It didn't take long to realize that the Pro 8 has a small but important flaw in its design - you cannot rest it on either of its short edges (i.e., in portrait orientation) without pressing on its power or volume buttons. To work around this problem, one needs to prop the edge up with some kind of spacer so that there is no pressure on the button - or one needs to use a case which provides this desired effect. This case does that job and more. It provides protection from bumps and drops. It is well-designed and well-constructed. The port cut-outs and buttons are spot on. Fit and finish are clean. The keyboard and kickstand work as expected. It does add some weight and heft - but I don't think any more than other similar products.

Great lightweight case - particularly for use on a music stand
I was looking for case primarily to prevent power and volume from being pressed when the Surface Pro 8 is on a music stand in portrait mode. It took me 4 tries to find the perfect case - and this was it. It offers some protection, and more importantly elevates the edges just enough to prevent buttons from being pressed. The fit and build quality are also great and there are no gaps around edges.Other cases I tried but returned:Kensington Black Belt - very bulky, pen holder is unusable with the new slim Surface Pen adding unnecessary bulk.Maiddos - better design, but also has an unusable pen holder for the slim pen, so bulkier than necessary. The mold was also imperfect, leaving unsightly gaps around the device.ProCase - almost perfect and very similar to this case, but the mold was a bit too tight around the kick stand making it hard to open, and also it had gaps around some edges.

looks good
The media could not be loaded. Study, feels like it’s made of a good material. The hand strap feels like it’s made of silicone, and isn’t super comfortable so I wouldn’t use it for long periods of time. The keyboard is slightly hard to open, and the kickstand takes a second to open but that’s just nitpicking. The bottom part where the keyboard connects isn’t super sturdy but it isn’t a big deal. The case doesn’t look as bulky as I thought it would, and the device still looks relatively sleek. Overall I really like the case.

Fits very well
The bottom part is thin and an easily break if you constanly hold it or mess with it, Overall very nice case if you have the keyboard that goes with it, it fits perfectly into the case when folded. It makes it bulkier but is worth it for the protection.

Works as well as previous models.
A little heavy, and overheats slightly, but I wouldn't go without it.
