Bought this on the recommendation of MKBHD on YouTube. Was not disappointed.

It is not been used as my main cable, it’s just been sitting in the corner as an extra one it still has its original folded shape.I bought it as I thought it was a cool product and it worked for while, but then suddenly last week, it just stopped working. There’s no sign of damage and has just been laying still, so I don’t know why it’s not working. Therefore I’m giving it 1 out of 5, because of the poor quality.

One of the figures showed a computer being charged on the LH side with the cable display text right side up, which is not true. The actual product has the display text upside-down when plugged into a LH charging port, which all of my computers are. Annoying, but, the product does work as advertised otherwise.

Allows easy monitoring of charging AMPS.

I bought two of these cables and they worked great for the first three months or so. Very consistent fast charging and the display was a pretty cool but unnecessary feature. After a few months, the metal (USB) piece fell out of one of them. The other one began shorting out during charging more and more until it stopped working all together. I may have just been unlucky with mine. Just be prepared when purchasing.

I'm not sure why other people leaving reviews here are so ignorant, but I'd like to clear the air on this product. First and foremost this is a NOVELTY ITEM. Do NOT buy this is you're looking for a super accurate power meter. This is not it. There are several other more precise and functional USB power meters on Amazon for this purpose (and similar price). This is simply a novelty cable that shows you a relatively accurate power consumption (in WATTS) of your devices.What this cable does:- USB 2.0/480Mbps speeds, NOT 3.0+- Allows up to 100W of continuous charging power (tested with 2021 M1 Max MBP)- Displays the CURRENT TIME power draw of the device in watts ONLY.- Displays if your device is utilizing USB PD (Power Delivery) or not for chargingWhat it does NOT do:- USB 3.0+ speeds >480Mbps- Show percentage of your devices charge- Provide an ultra precise unit of measurement (expect +/- .5W)- Show voltage or amperageSo that's it, if you bought this cable and expected otherwise you clearly didn't read the description. That being said it's got a cool looking display, the cable seems beefy, and should you read the description it does exactly what it says. The connectors are a nice polished dark gunmetal color and feel solid. My only recommendations for improvements would be to also have a way to show voltage and amperage maybe via a touch sensitive button of sorts, and have the display brightness be a little higher. Otherwise, I'm satisfied!EDIT: After a few months of ownership and rarely using the cable, the display on it has suddenly stopped working. I've no idea why. It still charges devices properly, but the display will no longer work. Very disappointing. No longer recommend. =(

Bought one of these in January of 2022, after a bit over a year I decided I wanted a few more so I could always have one in my car, backpack, and desk.The first cable was my go-to travel cable. It's been amazing and reliable. The on screen display isn't particularly bright so don't expect to see it well out in direct sunlight, but in a standard room it's plenty bright.The power reading itself it moderately accurate, typically 1-3W under actual power delivery. So don't expect resounding accuracy, it's definitely a novelty item that gives you a ball-park estimate of power usage.These are definitely only good for charging, at 2.0 speeds you're not going to be wanting to transfer data, it can do it in a pinch, but not what it's really designed for.It's been a well built cable though and looking forward to having a few more to use around, hopefully the new ones stand-up as well as my original one.Definitely recommend for those that want a neat charging cable. Wouldn't recommend for someone that wants data transfer or super accurate power readings
