Got a bad one but no problem with a return so far
Mine arrived with a smell of burnt wiring inside. I cautiously tested it but it would only produce 97.4 volts. It was also running very dirty on my ham radio equipment. I believe I may have just been unlucky as I have trusted Samlex in my Ham radio hobby for over 20 years. This seems to be the case now as so far the return procedure with the seller is going well. No hassles, quick service, the kind of company I like. I replaced this with a PST-1500-12 today, just in time to head back up to my volunteers firewatcher post in the State forest. I am seeing the usual solid performance from the new unit. No surprise there.
