This hoop clips on. If your machine has a slide connector for hoops then no.

Q: Does it embroidery a 5 x 12 area with a Brother Pe800?

Hi, I want to say yes, but I have the SE1900 and it does work for that embroidery machine!

Q: Does this fit a brother SE2000?

I am not sure. You might find if a similar machine is on their list. For example, I have a Brother NS1150, but I noticed a PE770 was on their list and I knew it would fit.

Hello! I have the Brother SE1900, so I would say Yes it will fit! I will be updating my review of this Hoop! I love it however, so that your garment doesn't slip during embroidery be sure to let it do the automatic base stitch. Its just a removable stitch around your design! The magnetics placed at the frame attachment side don't sit comfortably! Good luck
