I like this mica powder pigment overall. I bought it because I have several "reds" that just aren't truly red. This 'true red' pigment is miles better than the others I have tried. That said, it definitely isn't as red as I expected it to be. It takes quite a bit of pigment to be really bright and pigmented, and it is more light ans more opaque-like than I was aiming for. I was able to get a closer true red pigment by adding one or two drops of black alcohol ink. That darkens it up a bit and also removes the opaqueness. I will continue my hunt for a very true red, but in the mean time I am overall happy with this purchase, especially for the price. :) 4.2 stars!

I like the color but the jar has no seal and when I opened it the powder was in the lid and made a huge mess. Also ruined my clothes. Please use a protective seal with very bright pigmented mica.

We bought Truly Red hoping it was what it says. It is not. Yes it is a red, but it has a dark undertone. When you think red, you think Christmas red, Valentines red, 4th of July red, Truly red is not that red. It is a pretty color just not what we were wanting. We will find a use for it but not our original intended plan. Photo included showing the color of Truly Red, then with an Old Spice Deodorant bottle red, then with a competitor Baku Red just to show the difference.

A little orange

This is really red. Not pink. It’s just what I wanted. Gives a beautiful shiny cherry red finish.
