Awesome Performance
This wireless headset is awesome. I suffer from typical older male hearing loss, and even with hearing aids, dialog on TV is difficult to follow because of the lack of high frequency sounds. Increasing the volume on the TV doesn't necessarily help and drives my wife crazy. The Sony 900 MHz wireless headset solves the problem completely, and the noise cancellation technology works quite well. I replaced an older Sony headset that was beginning to fall apart from use after about 8 years. The new headset is more comfortable to wear and works even better.

These are amazing!
I love these things! You know how in so many movies the music in the background is so loud you miss the dialogue, especially when people are whispering to each other on screen? These earphones keep you from missing so much of the plot.....what is being said on screen.... that you lose interest in the movie. You can turn the sound on the television all the way down so that no one else can hear it, and you can adjust the volume on the earphones as loud as you want. (Careful! You wouldn't want to damage your hearing!)You want to sleep and your husband wants to watch a football game? No problem. Hand him the earphones for his ears and tape for his mouth!I'll tell you something else I like about these things. I installed them to work on the TV in the den, but let say I decide I want to watch TV in the bedroom. I can use them in the bedroom by just pushing a button on the earphones which allows me to switch to another frequency. They stay charged for hours, even if you forget to place them back on the charger. These are well worth the price!

Outstanding Sound
Wow! What a great sound. Outstanding separation in each ear. Absolutely no hissing or other nuisance noise. I am very impressed. Hook up took about 30 seconds. Battery was charged out of the box. Good battery life and the headset fits great on the charger. A little heavier than my last set but still very comfortable. Great product.

A world of difference!
The old wireless set my husband depended on got plenty ratty before it finally gave up. This new technology is SUCH an improvement---glad the old set went pfft. This headset is very comfortable--it must be for it to be on while my husband sleeps through TV gunfire! The old set would detect a lull in sound, then start making racket of its own. No more having him pull them off to ask me what Bernadette just said on Big Bang Theory! Good price---delighted with entire transaction!

Happy and Impressed by these wireless headphones!
I purchased this at a cheaper price for the open box product, instead of paying brand new. A lot of people are upset about the rechargeable batteries not being accessible for the consumer to replace, but I say if that is such a big deal to you, then don't buy it. They have great sound, a base sound, not a tinny sound. I purchased them so that when I want to watch TV in bed, I am not disturbing my husband while he sleeps. My TV has different settings on it for headphones, and it has a headphone jack. So once I figured that out, it's been working fine. I do notice a static sound, but only when there is something like a cell phone to close by, sometimes blocking the signal between the headphones and the receiver, which I have next to the TV. Overall, I get great sound from them. For a cheaper set of headphones, big, comfortable and great sound, I am very happy with them and the price I paid. It would have been worth it paying full price too, but I like to save money, and buying an open box item is fine with me. Especially on Amazon, when you can return them if they don't work. Very happy and impressed!

Great ears!
Don't really have anything bad to say about them. I think the sound is excellent, I can walk around the house and still hear without any background noise. When I say that I mean the downstairs, haven't tried going upstairs yet. I think the directions had a lot to be desired. I had a hard time getting it all to work (I am tech stupid). I was hooking them up to the tv in the proper spot, didn't work. Finally I came on here and one of reviewers' mentioned that she hooked up to her cable box. I tried that and it worked! yea I don't feel the directions said this. I like them, they do exactly what I wanted them to do. I have neighbors with blasting music at night. I like to watch tv at night and I can hardly hear it over the base of the music. This blocks out all of that, and the sound is actually better with head set on. You can hear every little thing. Also, you can walk to the kitchen or another room and they stay connected. Great Buy, Highly recommend

Freedom to move at last
I bought these headphones for half the price of a new model as they were used/open box and supposedly have a small blemish on the headset which is so tiny I had to look hard to see it. The Sonys were extremely easy to connect to my receiver and sound pretty good but not exceptional as they are a bit lacking on the low end. They are replacing some wired $300 Sennheiser headphones and while they don't sound quite as good as those for tv watching their midrange is good enough to not miss any dialog.I really like not being tethered to the amp so that I can walk into another room without line of sight to the receiver and still hear the TV audio. I also like that they have both an on/off switch and a volume control on the headset. My only quibble is that sometimes I hear a bit of static in the audio, otherwise these would be five stars.

The answer, my friend, is blowing in the wind
These are good headphones, but for the price they should be great. Used now for over 2 weeks. Often I hear a puffy, popping kind of noise on the low end. It is some variation in volume below say 200 Hz. Pressing AUTO TUNING doesn't really help. Power-off, power-on sometimes helps. Increasing headphone VOLUME seems to help the most, but that's usually louder than I want my background music. If you like things a little loud, or you are a bit hard of hearing, these would be good headphones for you.
