Piece of Junk - Don’t waste your money
Was so excited and really looking forward to finally updating my dinosaur laptop. Came a day earlier than originally stated. It’s pretty and white and nicely boxed. That is the only good thing I can say about it. Within fifteen minutes of turning it on it is useless. When it first booted up there was a pretty picture of a cave around a beautiful water scene for background on desktop. The icons for Word, Excel and Power Point we’re visible (the main reason I had ordered was because this was preloaded and not 365/subscription). I connected to our home wifi. I noticed the time was wrong on lower right of task bar and right clicked to drop menu showing the option to reset time to cst/auto adjust for dst. After I did that a MacAfee pop up started scanning and came back with what looked like a bogus scan result/scare tactic advertising to buy additional protection. I clicked to close and when I did the screen went to black desktop with only 3 icons - myPC, recycle bin, and c:\. I tried to locate the desktop - I was pretty sure I had not inadvertently changed any settings but somehow it was no longer appearing. When I attempted to click on desktop I would get another error message stating that it did not exist. Tried looking for program files for Excel, Word and Power Point since the icons weren’t on the black screen before me either, and nothing came back as result when searching drive for these programs either. That’s when I called tech support link from order. Spent almost half an hour trying to do reset with on/off button (which I had already done myself prior to calling). I finally gave up when the tech started saying they’d need to contact Microsoft for a download to reinstall. She didn’t seem to understand that there wasn’t any way to connect to even attempt a download. Completely unusable piece of crap and a large chunk of my Saturday spent chasing my tail about it. Very perturbed. Will go to brick and mortar Best Buy or somewhere like that.

we have had this less then a year and it won't even turn on. I could tell from the beginning it was a crappy computer and should have returned it then
